Management Accountant
York
£28,000 - £35,000
The Role
We are looking for a natural self-starter who has a rounded background in Finance, including Management Accounts, working with evolving systems, used to high pace and change. The role will involve working for a subsidiary to a PLC company and will include reporting to the Senior Finance Team at Head Office as well as the subsidiary company's Management Team. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and experience of working within a fast-paced environment with a proven track record in performing Management and Financial accounting tasks.
Duties
·Day to day management of Finance department
·Managing the month end process and ensuring deadlines are met
·Monthly preparation and reporting of financial results
·Balance reconciliations/Schedules
·Journal Entries and reconciliation of ledgers
·Sales and Purchase ledger control
·Weekly bank reconciliation
·Continuous review of customer debt and cash allocation and escalate as necessary
·Continuous review of Cash Flow forecasts and cash flow management
·Manage weekly payroll maintain and produce all records P11D, P60 etc
·Assistance with the annual audit
·Assist with budget preparation
·Process and submission to Head Office of quarterly VAT returns
·Producing ad-hoc Accounting reports and tasks when they arise
Skills & Experience:
·Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly
·Experience performing Management and Financial accounting tasks
·Experience in producing timely month end reports
·Excellent organisational and administrative skills, able to prioritise a high volume of work and wide range of tasks
·Good communication skills and able to engage with a wide range of people
·Competent user of Microsoft Excel
·Experience in payroll processes and management
·A self-starting individual with a strong work ethic and capable of planning and managing time effectively

The ideal candidate must be able to use Sage Accounting and Payroll and be very comprehensive with MS Excel.

This role would suit an experienced Finance Manager, Accounts Manager or Management Accountant
