Purpose 
  • Managing a small team of quality inspectors within a Precision Aerospace Engineering Company
Responsibilities 
  • Responsibilities relating to maintaining all aspects of the Quality Management System to AS9001D (BS EN ISO 9001:2015, EN 9100:2018) standards, such as:
  1. Maintaining an efficient quality documentation system through review, change approval and dissemination of information
  2. Supplier management
  3. Quarantine & Concession
  4. Process validation & test reports
  • Maintain acceptance requirements of products to ensure product can be delivered direct to customer Right First Time, every time.
  • Ensure KPI targets are achieved and maintained and enhanced regularly to improve the department
  • Ensuring robust inspection practices and techniques are employed in an efficient manner for all products
  • Conduct contract review
  • Maintaining the calibration system
  • To supervise, support, train and mentor team members within the Inspection department
  • Ensuring all documentation and reports are maintained and completed accurately and efficiently
  • Support the Compliance Manager in Quality issues
  • Work with the Production Departent to understand new products, how they will be manufactured & Inspected and to put in the necessary controls
  • Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained
  • To help create & maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures
  • To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required
Qualifications
  • Full apprenticeship / experience in machining, or relevant skills applicable to role
Hours Of Work 
  • Mon – Thurs: 8:00 – 17:00 (30 mins lunch)
  • Fri: 8:00 – 13:00 (no lunch)
Salary
  • Up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience
