Customer Service Manager

Selby YO8

£30000 - £35000 plus bonus

Working Monday to Friday Full time permanent

Commutable from Selby, York, Beverley, Goole

The Role

The post holder will be required to manage a team of customer service staff to maintain and develop an efficient and confidential high level customer service policy for the organisation.

You will have 12 direct reports (9 Customer Service Assistants and 3 Team Leaders)

Duties of the Customer Service Manager

  • Oversee the achievement and maintenance of agreed customer service levels
  • Develop customer service objectives by continually monitoring and improving customer service techniques and process good customer service relations
  • Be responsible for the daily operations of the customer service team
  • Plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks to support the functioning of the department
  • Handle complex and escalated customer service issues
  • Recruiting staff and undertaking regular appraisals
  • Identify and support with staff training and coaching requirements
  • Co-ordinate and manage customer service projects
  • Usual Customer Service duties

Skills/Knowledge/Experience of the Customer Service Manager  

  • 3 years experience of supervising staff within an office environment
  • Experience of training and appraising new staff
  • Good verbal, communication and customer service skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Be able to meet deadlines
