Position: Customer Services Manager

Job: Permanent

Location: Ilminster

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm / Friday 8.30 - 4.00pm

Salary: £30-35K

To ensure that the needs of customers are satisfied, providing excellent customer service and promoting this value throughout the CS team and our organisation. To manage the order loading, acceptance, and acknowledgement process in an efficient way enabling the factory to run efficiently. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for function improvements an formulate improvement action plans

Own the function performance management, talent management and succession planning to enable business growth

Act as a senior escalation point for customer issues

Work with compliance management to ensure full regulatory compliance and legal requirements and identification of any potential business risks

Attend customer review meetings in support of the sales department

Manage order processing, RMA's, concessions etc

Support quotation creation from a technical standpoint

Attend regular conference calls with Customers to work up technical propositions

Working collaboratively with internal departments in support of the customer experience

Ensuring compliance with AS9100 procedures

Ensuring compliance with customer specific requirements

Support the site Director of Operations to deliver business objectives

 

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

  • Management experience within a Customer Service, Service Delivery or Customer Support Function
  • At least three years' experience of working within customer facing roles
  • Team leader with the ability to encourage a team approach
  • Experience of working with a customer facing environment
  • Experience of working in a technical support role
  • Results orientated
  • Positive attitude to address challenges
  • Flexible approach to working to meet deadlines
  • Proven capability to learn and implement new skills and processes
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of using an ERP/MRP system
