Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Digital Content Executive to join a team of digital marketers, ensuring the customer journey online is personal and seamlessly links with all offline contact points. The key role of the Digital Content Executive will be to assist in the planning, execution, and optimisation of the digital content.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things marketing and content. You will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the various digital channels can help support the customer journey to purchase. You will be highly creative, tech-savvy and intuitive with great ideas to reinforce marketing efforts.

 

Duties & Responsibilities of the Digital Content Executive:

  • Work alongside the Communications Manager to help write and create engaging and user-friendly content for multiple sources, including the website, blogs, articles and more.
  • Deliver a consistent tone of voice which is aligned to brand guidelines.
  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Executive to assist in pulling together streamlined content plans across the various digital channels- in particular taking ownership of pulling together plans for on-page content on Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn as well as other regular, ongoing content for the “exclusive membership club” and Facebook community group.
  • Plan create (including copy), publish and monitor the ongoing company presence on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc.).
  • Community management- respond to customer comments and messages across each of the social channels and Trustpilot.
  • Carry out regular content audits to assess what is working well and what isn’t and work with the Digital Marketing Manager to provide creative ideas for content marketing.
  • Ensure the content on the website is up to date, engaging and as user friendly as possible.
  • Assist with producing content for the new digital experience website including copy and imagery where required.
  • Assist the Digital Marketing Executive in creating weekly emails to go out to a database of 30,000 plus.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and changes in the world of social media, digital content, and marketing.
  • Work alongside the in-house developer and external advertising agency to be actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimisation etc.).
  • Be responsible for updating Google My Business and Bing Places including store updates, promotions etc.
  • Look for opportunities and assist with the creation of content to provide a much more personalised customer journey.

 

Requirements of the Digital Content Executive:

  • BSc/BA in marketing or relevant field.
  • Preferably previous experience as Digital Content Executive or similar role but not essential.
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts, content marketing and best practices.
  • Experience with B2C social media, email campaigns (preferably Campaign Monitor) and SEO/SEM.
  • Good knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Skills and experience in creative content writing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail including good use of grammar and spelling.
  • Creative flair and ability to generate unique ideas.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Video/animation skills desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
