Location: Cleckheaton, Bradford

Salary: up to £45,000 (DOE)

Main Responsibilities of the HR Manager

  • Ensure employees have an available source of confidential advice and understanding. Provide assistance.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
  • Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.
  • Advise managers and share best practice with them.
  • Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance.
  • Source and support learning and development opportunities.
  • Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.
  • Maintain payroll records and keep accounts appraised of any changes.
  • Develop recruitment and selection strategies.
  • Manage the full end to end recruitment process, this includes writing job descriptions, preparing interview questions, sourcing & interviewing candidates and liaising with agencies where appropriate
  • Carry out new starter on boarding process
  • Manage talent and succession planning.
  • Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Support change management processes.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information system data records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leavers, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met

Experience and Skills required

  • CIPD Level 5
  • Proven working experience as HR manager or HR Officer
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR Best Practice
