Internal Recruitment Executive

Location:             Stourbridge (relocating to The Waterfront, Merry Hill February 2022)

Hours:                  09:00 - 17:15 Monday to Friday (36.25 hours per week)

Salary range:     £25,000 to £32,000 negotiable depending on skills and experience plus bonus

Our client is a leading law firm in the West Midlands and Worcestershire.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a recruitment role and a desire to develop a long-term career with the Company.

The post-holder will bring experience in tactical recruitment and play an integral role in the HR & Recruitment Team. They will be required to manage all elements of the recruitment process from initial enquiries to offer stage.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Work as an integral member of the HR & Recruitment Team to ensure a full recruitment service offering to the Company.
  • Be an ambassador for HR and Careers within the Company.
  • Management of recruitment database.
  • Undertake all recruitment administration in an efficient, accurate and timely manner including the administration, modification, enhancement and full-utilisation of the Company’s Cascade database.
  • Candidate management from inception to offer stage.
  • Advertising vacancies (website / job posting sites / social media platforms).
  • Social media activity, promotion and interaction.
  • Agency liaison with PSL appointed (trusted) agents.
  • Research and create prospecting lists for suitable local candidates.
  • Targeted recruitment approaches on approved candidate lists.
  • Undertaking first-stage screening interviews and making recommendations for next stage.
  • Creating and updating job descriptions and person specifications for new vacancies.
  • Drafting job offers for authorisation.
  • Industry benchmarking.
  • Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.
  • Any other duties deemed to be within the capability of the post holder.

 

Essential competencies

Customer service - to greet interviewees and answer phone calls and emails, offering a high level of customer service to ensure a great experience for applicants and recruitment agents in line with Talbots’ Values

Recruitment experience - to be involved with attracting, selecting and hiring staff, candidates should be familiar with interview, on boarding, and training processes.

Computer literacy - this position requires a strong familiarity with social networking sites, excellent desktop research skills and job applicant systems, as the post-holder will use applicant tracking systems, job boards, and social media to reach potential applicants

Organisational  skills -  working  as  part  of  a  team  to schedule  multiple  interviews  and coordinating the recruitment process requires the post-holder to be organised and efficient

Time management - from answering phone calls and emails to greeting interviewees, we work in a fast-paced environment. Effective time management helps operations run smoothly and on time.

Communication - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are needed to promote the Company externally, to liaise with candidates and agents and to communicate and update colleagues and recruiting managers. Excellent interpersonal skills, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy are essential to the success of this role.

Desirable competencies

  • Legal / law firm experience - would be advantageous to this role. Desirable experience would include prior experience of working in-house or as a legal recruiter.
  • Professional qualifications - in HR, recruited or a related discipline would add value to the HR & Recruitment Team.
