Job Title: Internal Communications Business Partner

Job Overview:

The role of the Internal Communications function is to develop and maintain a One Company culture, driving pride, engagement, and recognition across all Supply Engine employees. This is achieved by working proactively with functions and sites to produce fit-for purpose communications activities that engage all internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager for Supply Engine, the Internal Communications Business Partner will support internal communication activities across both the Paper and Recycling divisions, as well as other business functions.

The Internal Communications Business Partner will be key in delivering communication strategies to effectively engage employees in the company’s purpose, purpose, narrative and values. Key to the role will be managing an editorial calendar, writing content, managing channel performance and developing communication material to support the delivery of key communication initiatives.

Key to the success of the role will be building and maintaining strong internal network across the Supply Engine and the wider Group Corporate Affairs Team divisions to bring Our Purpose come to live through meaningful and engaging content.

Education & Certifications

  • Degree level education with a preference for graduates of language or communications
  • Corporate communications experience within a complex, global/European matrix organisation

Job Specific Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sensitivity to the audience and medium in use.
  • Good technical understanding of communication channels, such as email clients, intranets, digital signage etc
  • Passionate about sourcing and writing content, able to mine stories across a European wide network of stakeholders - from commercial to operational teams and sites
  • Excellent project management skills - the ability to manage multiple complex projects and project teams (including supplier relationships) simultaneously, while able to deliver results under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good stakeholder management.
  • Confident, highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Good understanding of functional communications best practice.
  • Pro-active approach to communications programme development.
  • Ability to execute plans efficiently and effectively.
  • Able to translate complex concepts into meaningful language
  • Adaptable to constantly changing work requirements.

Experience

  • Experience in change and project communications with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in supporting and creating campaigns that have driven strong employee engagement
  • Experience of managing projects and associated teams; including supplier relationships
  • Experience in advising senior leaders on the appropriate use of channels that add business value, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Proven track record of collaborative working and building strong relationships, influencing effectively to achieve business goals
