IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd/3rd Line Support

York YO1

£25000 - £30000

Hours Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work and engage with all areas of the business, the IT Support Engineer will support and maintain all company IT Infrastructure and applications and also support the IT Manager and Software Engineering Manager with various projects.

You will be responsible for managing the companywide helpdesk system.

For the right applicant there is the opportunity to progress within the business.

The environment is complex and dynamic and is also undergoing a large transformation. It is based on Microsoft technology stack (virtualised with Hyper-V) and desktops with Cisco Meraki based networking. Cloud based Zoho will become the CRM/ERP system used throughout the business.

They are currently in the process if migrating services to the cloud including extensive use of Azure.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience of the IT Support Engineer

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role
  • A basic Network Networking Knowledge of TCP/IP/DNS/DHCP/VPN/RDP/Firewalls
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Office, Azure AD (hybrid), Intune, Sharepoint/Teams)
  • Server 2016 including Hyper-V
  • Analytical approach
  • Organised
  • Exceptional communication skills
