The Firm

Hawk 3 Talent are working closely with one of its best clients to secure a Legal Practise Manager to join them. This boutique firm has deep roots in the community around the Cotswolds and have been in a period of continues growth for the last 350 years. They are a traditional firm at heart but have recently made moves to modernise the practise from the technology and hybrid working practises to the Finance team and furniture.

You will be joining the firm at one of its most pivotal times in its history. With the expansion and investment into two of its office locations, the need for a Practice Manager to keep things ticking along smoothly whilst being able to offer the same high-quality service to clients is a necessity.

The Role

This position is ideally for an experienced Practice Manager with a few years’ experience working in a High Street or Regional firm to join. This position is also open to Practice Assistants and Office Managers looking to take a step up in their career.

As well as the usual responsibilities of Human Resources this position will include.

  • Processing practising Certificates renewals and maintaining the firm’s records with the SRA
  • Preparing quarterly/yearly fee earner statistical analysis
  • Indemnity Insurance renewal
  • Arranging Partners’ meetings (both monthly and annually) and attending for note taking
  • Indemnity Insurance renewal
  • Benchmarking reports

Experience/familiarity dealing with governing bodies, recruitment agencies and solicitors is key to the success of the role.

Other duties include pensions, working with recruitment agencies, updating monthly budgets, processing data and maintaining personal records.

As well as this, it is extremely important that you manage the day-to-day finance of the firm. Budgeting, payroll and working closely with the finance team will be a daily duty.
