Operations and Logistics Administrator

Commutable from Leeds, Wetherby, Selby, Garforth, Tadcaster or York

Working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm with additional hours in busy periods to include 1 evening per week and a weekend rota.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Logistics and Operations Administrator

This role requires a bright, flexible and enthusiastic individual who will be pivotal in the smooth running of the operations team.. Working in a fast-paced environment your role will be full time and require some flexibility on working hours, especially in peak season, including one evening per week and a weekend rota. You will be an excellent communicator, have the ability to multi-task and be able to successfully prioritise. This is a responsible position involving logistical decision making.

Role of Operations Administrator

  • • Assisting the Operations Manager
  • • Supporting Payroll Team when needed
  • • Using a computer system to schedule projects
  • • Liaising with site crew and managers
  • • Liaising with drivers
  • • Liaising with satellite depots and yard crew.
  • • Checking crew invoices
  • • Booking crew accommodation
  • • Booking travel arrangements
  • • Dealing with vehicle breakdowns
  • • Keeping spreadsheets up to date
  • • Producing reports and documentation

  • • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • • Strong numeracy accuracy with good attention to detail for precise data entry
  • • Excellent telephone manner
  • • Excellent written skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • • Good working knowledge of computers, Excel, and Microsoft Office software
