Maintenance Manager

£42,000 - £45,000 DOE PA + Bonus + Benefits 

Blackburn

0730 - 1630 Monday to Friday (flexible) 

 

Due to significant growth, Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our Blackburn based client who specialise in Distribution to recruit for an experience Maintenance Manager.

 

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring that facilities, including machinery are well maintained and are capable of running to their maximum efficiency.

You will lead the Site Maintenance team in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. 

You will be expected to increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, minimise downtime, manage and implement improvement plans, drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

You will develop maintenance procedures and ensure communication and implementation of all required checks

You will check electrical and pneumatic systems of buildings to ensure functionality

You will monitor and maintain an appropriate inventory of consumables for machine servicing 

You will implement training and education to enhance employee development and continue job performance improvement

 

Skills required:

Ability to apply exceptional time management.

Strong ability to analyse, resolve and implement solutions through sound problem solving techniques.

Ability to analyse and present data.

Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of management and hourly employees.

Good interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy are necessary to supervise employees in a fair and consistent manner.

Must be able to counsel, guide and evaluate the work of others in a manner that motivates the achievement of company goals.

Must be willing to travel when required.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

Proven experience as Maintenance Manager or other managerial roles.

Experience in Laser / Waterjets although training will be given

Time Served Engineer

Recognised Supervisory or Managerial certificate such as ILM Level II would be an advantage.
