Mechanical CAD Engineer

Location: Swansea

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm, Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm

Salary: Negotiable DOE plus annual bonus

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical CAD Engineer to join our client, a specialist manufacturer in the Swansea area. The successful candidate will have proven experience in dealing with electrical and mechanical products in a production business. Excellent salary and progression opportunities for the right candidate

As part of the Engineering team, you would be responsible for producing mechanical drawings, BOMs and design documentation for a range of automation and control products for a variety of customer projects. The role would involve designing rack-based card assemblies, electronics enclosures and alarm panels amongst other products, producing manufacturing drawings, generating 3D models of solutions and liaising with suppliers. Delivering clear, accurate and complete drawings into our production environment is vital to our success, as is doing so quickly and thoroughly, while working with the rest of the engineering team to ensure products are well integrated and designed.

Ideally, the candidate will be qualified to at least degree level in a mechanical engineering discipline, with experience in electronics helpful and a high level of competency with CAD packages such as Creo and CorelDraw essential.

Experience:

  • PTC Creo: 1 year (preferred)
  • Mechanical Engineering Qualification to degree level

Details

  • Salary depending on skills and experience + £ Bonus
  • 23 days holiday, increasing annually to 27, plus Bank Holidays
  • Pension contribution
  • Working hours are Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm, Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Due to the nature of the role, the candidate would be expected to attend the office
