National Key Account Manager

£50K, Plus Car Allowance, Annual Bonus

I am looking to recruit a National Key Account Manager for a high-quality nutritional supplement manufacture based in the UK. They are well established since the early 1980's and have been growing year on year since. There are now one of the UK’s favourite brands for the products they manufacture and supply to many of the top high street shops.

The ideal candidates with have a background in the Health & Wellbeing Consumer Sector and have experience with ‘Top Grocer Channels’ and ‘High Street Pharmacy’. The role of the National Key Account Manager will involve:  
• Identify and convert profitable sales leads across UK and Rep of Ireland.
• Pitch the brand to potential new accounts and set up meetings
• Maintain and develop an excellent relationship with Key Accounts, Wholesalers and sell in new products to meet the needs of the customer
• Working with the marketing manager put in place agreed promotions & marketing plans with existing customers to drive sales, secure new listings, drive distribution and deliver profitability
• Follow up good potential leads from our website and exhibitions
• Co-ordinate and drive New Product and provide regular updates to all departments on projects
• Maintain company margins and work with the agreed marketing spend
• Ensure Key Account websites contain up to date product information and images
• Planning and preparing company presentations to present to new and existing customers
• Attend networking events/exhibitions both in the UK and overseas as and when required
• Communicate new product developments to prospective and existing accounts and use POS effectively to drive sales
• Provide monthly progress report with KPI’s to manager
• Feedback competitor activity to the Head of Marketing and advise any new product development opportunities or trends in the marketplace
• Manage and solve conflicts / issues with customers
• Work closely with the Customer Care Manager to ensure orders are despatched on time
• Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas when required
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude, being flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business
