Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm with half hour lunch break each day & 7.30am to 12.30pm with no lunch break on Friday of each week - 37 hours in total.

Summary:

Our client is UK biggest construction specialist based Oldbury are currently recruiting for a Project engineer with a track record of successful delivery to join them.

This permanent full-time position will involve you working with other Engineers and Maintenance staff to ensure projects are completed on time. You need to be capable of delivering significant ongoing improvements to an increasingly demanding manufacturing/production environment. You will be required to schedule, plan, forecast, resource & manage all of the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy & quality from conception to completion. You will also be required to develop close working relationships with the Production Managers/Directors, Maintenance staff & Technical staff to ensure support & advice is available, thereby ensuring maximum benefits are shown on the manufacturing equipment through continuous improvements.

Person specification

» To ideally have a degree in Engineering or relevant field

» 4 + years' experience as a Project Engineer in an Engineering industry

» Be proficient in 2D & 3D design software, preferably AutoCAD & Inventor

» Be proficient in Microsoft Project or equivalent project tracking software

» Have excellent project management skills & a continuous improvement attitude

» To be computer literate & able to communicate at all levels

» Have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects

» Be responsible for achieving objectives on own initiative, as well as part of a team

» Have the ability to adapt to previously unseen challenges & new technologies

» To have a minimum of a basic understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics

» Good timekeeping, attendance & must be eligible & able to prove you can work in the UK

Responsibilities

» Take responsibility for identifying, developing, implementing & managing modifications to the current plant/manufacturing equipment

& processes, by reviewing in a structured manner opportunity to improve production output, product quality & equipment reliability.

» Management of projects (capital or revenue) including time scales & budgets, planned versus actual.

» Work with production & support services to identify new equipment requirements within the manufacturing processes & prepare &

submit tenders for new equipment, & then take this through to installation and commissioning.

» Co-ordination & managing of any contractors that are involved in the projects/tasks ensuring where applicable, that plant is designed,

installed tested & commissioned in accordance within the contract conditions & that appropriate records are produced throughout.

» Provide report information for the monthly Executive/Board meeting giving details on present project progress, new projects & issues.

» Maintain awareness & ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, & Company rules & policies
