Rail Engineering Operative x 3 vacancies

£18,335 plus benefits

Working Hours: 8am-5pm

Purpose of Role

Due to increased growth, our client is looking to recruit 3 Rail Engineering Operatives at their site based in Crewe.

  • Assembly and general components cleaning associated with the manufacture and repairs of rail products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assembly of manufactured and repaired products
  • Cleaning of components
  • Assist in the Repairing and Manufacturing process as required
  • Milling and turning of point machine blades and components
  • Point machine stripping on occasion
  • Limited barrier boom build

Experience and Skills Required

  • The minimum requirement necessary upon entry into the job is basic secondary education
  • Work experience necessary to perform the job is 6 months
  • Good knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • Basic level of Statutory Procedures
  • Basic product range
  • Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Quality Systems
  • Continuous Improvement Techniques
  • Must have experience in an engineering assembly production environment
  • High level of dexterity and competent in the use of Hand Tools
  • Must be a productive team player
  • Able to follow standard operating procedures
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision following training
