Receptionist Administrator

York YO1

£20k - £23k

Hours 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday

The Company

A well established company based in York centre are looking for an experienced Receptionist with administration skills to support their teams.

The Role

Provide a professional, warm and efficient reception service for the Company, assist the Business Support Manager and support the People function with HR administration. 

Duties

 Answer and field incoming calls in a timely, professional and pleasant manner

  • Meet and greet visitors, customers, suppliers etc
  • Take receipt of deliveries and coordinate outgoing mail
  • Maintain a presentable reception area
  • Manage office supplies, first aid kits and refreshments etc
  • Set up meeting rooms and coordinate lunches
  • Assist with office Health & Safety requirements
  • HR Administration support including:
    • Managing HR Admin Mailbox
    • Ownership of the People HR Database
    • Production of letters and contracts
    • Manage recruitment mailbox, posting job ads and obtaining references
    • Liaising with benefit providers
  • Ad hoc event support
  • Updating social and internal platforms

Skills/Knowledge/Experience of the Receptionist Administrator

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office programs and aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Previous experience in a Reception or Administration role is desirable
