SAFETY & COMPLIANCE TECHNICIAN / NEWTON ABBOT - PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

Location: Heathfield Industrial Estate, Newton Abbot

Assignment: Permanent Contract

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm

Pay: £30,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Safety & Compliance Technician for our well-known manufacturing company that has been constructing and assembling residential park homes and holiday lodges for the last 60 years.

Duties as a Safety & Compliance Technician:

  • Carrying out on-boarding instruction to new staff members
  • Control risk assessments and update or modify when necessary
  • Control safe operational procedures and update or modify where necessary
  • Carry out regular site inspections and audits to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered
  • Keep records of inspection findings, audits and produce reports
  • Ensure equipment is installed safely and fit for purpose
  • Assess and inspect equipment for maintenance and repair
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on power tools, access equipment and air lines
  • Maintain a comprehensive maintenance register, cataloguing all power tools, access equipment and logging maintenance actions
  • Registering new tools and equipment and distributing to the line accordingly
  • Obtain warranty certificates for small tools

About you:

  • Experience in health & safety as well as general maintenance
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quick
  • Good ICT skills
  • A willingness to learn
