The Role of the Sales Support Manager
To be the main point of contact for all sales agents and national account managers and offer support and advice with their sales development. To lead the Customer Service department and ensure all customer enquiries and dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.
Reporting in to the Commercial Director.
Duties of the Sales Support Manager
Customer Services - dealing with customer queries, new business enquiries and general business enquiries.
To work closely with the sales agents to offer support including obtaining product quotations, samples and supplying sales aids. General day to day requests concerning the accounts.
To support the national account managers by organising samples and providing sales reporting activities. Covering during absences.
To manage export accounts including checking orders, completing necessary documents, advising new product launches, quotations.
Managing smaller House Accounts including general requests, new products, own label packaging request
To provide sales agents and National Accounts Managers (NAM's) with monthly sales reports for key customers.
Assist the sales team by requesting order movements and amends from major and house accounts.
Administration of various customer portals.
Completing service level reports for major customers and distributing where necessary.
Keeping the promotional calendar up to date with all key information and distributing when necessary
To process and input orders during periods of absence of the orders input clerk.
To report delivery shortages to major accounts and sales agents during periods of absence of the sales office administrator.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge for the Position of Sales Support Manager
- Will need to be organised
- Advanced IT skills in Excel as advanced formulas/V-lookups/conditioning formatting skills are required
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Manufacturing background
- Customer Supply Chain experience
