  • Job Title Senior Customer Services Administrator

Our client is a leading manufacturer of plastic products, operating in multiple markets. They our market leader in several European countries as well as shipping to over 60 other countries worldwide.

Our client based in Preston is seeking to appoint a Senior Customer Services Administrator. The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record working within customer services and the manufacturing industry.

Main Responsibilities

To provide our customers with a professional and informative service. The role entails contact by email and telephone to our worldwide customers. Providing excellent customer service consistently and continually to ensure that all customer expectations are not only met but exceeded. This role deals with other departments on a regular basis to ensure the requirements of the customer are catered for. It is expected that the role holder will undertake some of the duties of the C.S. Manager when absent, including supervisory of the small team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering questions on price and availability by telephone and email.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Producing paper and electronic invoices.
  • Filing of documents and other paperwork as and when necessary.
  • Cover for other C.S. assistants when out of the office.
  • Cover for the Customer Service Manager when absent.
  • Attendance at the Managers meeting when C.S. Manager is absent.
  • Advising internal customers i.e., Sales of any key account activity.
  • Completion of customer documentation when required.
  • Taking sales orders and enquiries by telephone.

Experience and Skills required

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as excel, word, outlook.
  • Excellent written communication skills, clear, concise and professional.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a confident and competent way both in person and on the telephone.  
  • Experience of data input.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working with the manufacturing industry.
