Overview:

On behalf our out client, we are looking for an experienced and skilled SEO Manager. Reporting to the Managing director, you will be responsible for leading a team in both on-page and off-page optimisation to deliver long term effective results for the clients’ website. As a main point of senior contact for clients, you will have a responsibility to maintain a strong communication with progress updates and reporting, as well as clear communication for the inhouse team.

Duties & Responsibilities of the SEO Manager:

  • Competitor analysis and strategic keyword research/ keyword mapping.
  • Ownership of client campaign progress and retention.
  • Thorough knowledge of all allocated SEO campaigns.
  • Work to train and develop SEO Executives on best practice SEO strategies.
  • Onsite and technical analysis and optimisation to produce valuable SEO strategy recommendations.
  • Using industry standard analytical tools to produce insightful recommendations.
  • Effectively prioritising your time and organisation of work allocation within the team
  • Briefing the wider team to execute best practice link building, link reclamation, local level link building and digital PR
  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback for content articles produced by the team; product descriptions, category pages, blogs.
  • Sending monthly reports to key stakeholders through Google Data Studio.
  • Communicate with clients via email and over the phone to share regular updates; attend meetings as a senior member of the team to outline the progress & future strategy.
  • Internal liaison with other staff members where clients opt for multiple digital marketing services to be provided by the client.
  • Consider the bigger marketing picture and add value to client’s by making ad-hoc suggestions on wider topics such as conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to aid the ROI results of the SEO campaign.

Requirements of the SEO Manager:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in SEO role.
  • Demonstratable SEO results.
  • Experienced in using Google Analytics, Google Search Console & Tag Manager.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices across varying industries and website types (e.g. lead-gen, e-commerce, local etc.)
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (preferably WordPress & Magento)
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Ahrefs, Majestic & Screaming Frog
  • Previous experience in link earning (tactical & digital PR)
  • Have a genuine interest & passion for SEO
  • Line management experience
