Job Objective

Provide a high level of technical support to enable the company to achieve its targets and meet the expected quality standards by ensuring all products are fully compliant with the correct specifications

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Report non-conforming products and generate QCs
  • Maintain database of QCs and follow through to solution
  • Supplier management - quarterly supplier reviews
  • Maintain Supplier specifications
  • Answer sales enquiries - advising on product feasibility, offering technical advice to customers
  • Reviewing customer specifications - completing approval forms for sales, controlling amendments, archiving previous revisions, update test sheets, etc.
  • Creating Technical Datasheets for customers in the absence of customer specifications
  • Raising customer concessions
  • Provide customer care on Technical matters / Quality complaints
  • Design of products to meet customer requirements
  • Managing new part numbers in ERP system (Navision)
  • Conduct feasability studies
  • Conducting and monitoring trials
  • FAI / PPAP etc
  • Record and analyse SOI concession records

Special knowledge, skills & duties

  • In depth knowledge of product range and manufacturing processes
  • National and international specification requirements
  • Supplier/Customer liaison
  • Kaizen Production System Team Member
  • Lean Six Sigma Trained (Green/Black Belt)

Interpersonal Skills

  • Presentation Skills
  • Coaching/Mentoring Skills
  • Comfortable liaising at all levels within the organisation & with external bodies
  • Leadership & Teambuilding Skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
