Salary: £12.20 p/h, Overtime £16.59 p/h - 37.5 hours per week ( Annual Salary £23,790 )

Job type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, Rotating every two weeks 0800-1600/1600-0000, + overtime as needed

Summary:

Our client is fastest growing logistics company based in Bury St Edmunds are currently recruiting for a warehouse operative to join their expanding team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team in which you can learn and develop.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have a proven warehouse background.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Work well as a team and independently.
  • A positive "cando" attitude.

Duties include:

-To undertake warehouse duties related to the flow of stock through the distribution centre, from receipt through to despatch

-To receive, pick, pack and load products as directed

-To operate lifting equipment, manual or mechanical

-To undertake administrative tasks related to the flow of stock throughout the warehouse

-To undertake additional 'ad hoc' tasks related to the flow of stock throughout the warehouse

Key results/objectives:

-To achieve the company's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), in terms of output and quality

- To ensure that the relationship between the Company and the Customer remains positive at all time through providing a high-quality service, with minimal damages or errors

- To play an active part in creating and maintaining a positive working environment through supporting other team members and new starters

Responsible for:

-Quality; accuracy and timeliness of work

-Personal Health and Safety and ensuring that personal actions do not result in injury to others

-Supporting colleagues through offering help and sharing knowledge

-Careful and respectful use of Company equipment and facilities, such as RF equipment, lifting equipment, canteen facilities etc
