Motor Claims Handler - PERMANENT VACANCY
Location: Liverpool
Job type: Permanent contract
Hours: Full time hours 0900-1730 Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £27,000k, dependent on experience
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are currently recruiting for Motor Claims Handler to join an experienced and supportive Claims Department.
Main duties:
To negotiate settlement of customer/third party claims including total loss, third party property damage and credit hire
To ensure recovery of claims outlay, where necessary.
Ensure reserves are accurately based on current information for all elements of the claim within authority levels.
Make correct policy decisions in regard to indemnity and coverage referring where necessary.
To review liability to ensure correct decision made and where necessary negotiate liability settlement.
Appoint appropriate partner companies and monitor/manage their performance.
Clear communication with customers, third parties and their representatives.
Deal with telephone calls including completing any actions necessary as a result.
Maintain own allocation of files within SLA.
Contribute to team/department performance by assisting colleagues to ensure team targets are met.
To process and/or authorise payments within authority levels.
To resolve all complaints and issues avoiding expressions of dissatisfaction escalating into complaints.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Precious experience working in similar field is not essential, however will advantageous
Positive attitude, friendly and personable
Resilient and able to multitask
Able to work independently and flexibly
Adaptable, organized, and conscientious
