Job Title: Store Manager
Salary: £48,190 rising to £62,850 after 4 years
Hours: Flexible, over 5 days, 40h or 45-hour contract (including weekends)
Our client based in Chippenham is looking for an exceptional Store Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be committed, energetic and will enjoy working in a team with the ability to develop strong relationships both with customers the team. You will be passionate about selling delivering a great experience for all customers .
Key Responsibilities :
- Offers the highest standard of customer service by adapting to each customers' needs.
Ensures colleagues have knowledge of the product range and store layout.
Deals with customer complaints, providing a suitable response, in case of complaints exceeding the limit they inform their Area Manager immediately.
Ensures cleaning duties are undertaken as required in all areas of the store.
Maximises product availability by ensuring colleagues always act upon off-sales immediately; assigning them to the relevant area of store to ensure replenishment of off sales is the priority.
Carries out the ordering of stock.
Responsible for the correct storage and display of all products.
Responsible for stock rotation and decides if all goods in the store are complying with Health & Safety and Due Diligence regulations. If necessary, they can take products off sale.
Responsible for controlling accuracy of the till operation, reviewing cashiers till speed and balance when cashing off tills.
Carries out till spot checks.
Controls the cashing up of the tills, manages deposits into the safe and hands over the cashbags to the security company.
Responsible for the welfare of employees working in their store and is required to conduct annual performance reviews and monthly personnel updates.
Responsible for the training/development of employees in their store, including Store Management in training.
Reviews and submits the cash sheet, finalises employee hours at month end, reviews and finalises store memos.
Ensures accurate recording of employee hours at month end.
Is a registered key holder with responsibility to attend alarm callouts.
Is responsible for contacting the police in case of store theft.
Completes accident reports if required and informs their Area Manager.
Ensures with technical and electrical equipment (i.e. lifts, scissor lifts, etc.) that the necessary service checks are carried out and keeps a record of the relevant paperwork.
Skills and experience sought:
- Full UK Driving license.
Used to leading teams in a fast-paced, stakeholder/customer driven environment.
Skilled in time management, cost control and boosting productivity.
Must be able to provide the best possible shopping experience by exceeding customers' expectations and offering uniquely engaging customer service, whilst ensuring an efficient and co-operative working environment, consistent store standards, minimal costs, optimum operational efficiency, tightly controlled inventory and price change, strong due diligence, procedural compliance and accurate accounts.
