Location: Dunkeswell, Honiton

Job type: Permanent

Report to: Electric Desing Engineer

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a  Electrical Design Engineer based at our clients manufacturing site in Dunkeswell on a permanent full time contract.

The successful candidate will be creating innovative and cost-effective designs using CAD to a high standards.

Duties & responsibilities:

 

      Component and assembly design from concept to

production in an automotive environment using CAD.

Produce circuit diagrams and schematics.

Produce designs to meet the agreed requirements to  time and within hours specified.

Maintain accurate design records and maintain drawing issue control.

Use the PDM system to store and issue drawings.

Revise or amend existing designs and drawings to  meet new requirements

Work with the Project Engineer and other team members to provide the best output.

Liaise with suppliers in order to source new  components.

Assess prototype components for correct fit and  function.

Prepare documentation for design reviews

About you:

      Passion for automotive industry and motorsport

Understanding of vehicle systems - eg Hydraulic, Pneumatic & Electronic

Team Player - to be an integral part of an Engineering Project team is key.

Understanding the processes of a bespoke Engineering and Design manufacturer

On site working is essential

Essential Skills :

      Cad skills preferably Autocad and SolidWorks.

Minimum of HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering.

Knowledge of Automotive electrics, 12 and 24v.

Proven experience of working in a designer role

Engineering draughting experience of electrical schematics and looms.
