Job Title: Technical Sales Advisor              

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (DOE)

Location: Stoke on Trent                   

Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday/ 40 hours per week

The role:

Our client, a family run business that have been established in their field for over 70 years are currently on the hunt for an experienced Technical Sales Advisor to join their team. As the Technical Sales Advisor you will be a confident relationship builder with the ability to sell products across the board as well as upselling and cross selling of new products that are launched.

You will possess a confident telephone manner and possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form. You will have the ability to offer customers advice and technical knowledge and always deliver accuracy.

As the Technical Sales Advisor you will have the ability to recognise sales opportunities, follow up on leads and be experienced in producing quotes and closing sales. Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong background in sales with experience of working within the public and private sectors.

Main duties and responsibilities:

      Working with the public and private sectors, local authorities, the Education sector, architects and contractors

Building strong relationships with customers

Upselling and cross selling of new products

Reviewing potential sales opportunities and following up on leads

Providing technical and sales advice to customers by telephone and written Communication

Constructing written quotations utilising the in-house CRM system as required

Ensuring customer receipt of quotation

Recognising sales opportunities and closing of sales

Checking all quotations to ensure 100% accuracy

Contact clients to up-date and close orders

Skills and experience sought

      Strong background in Sales

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Meticulous attention to detail

The ability to interpret drawings

Have the confidence to read through bills of quantities and tender documents

      Experience of the tender process

Strong organisation and time management skills to ensure that time is managed

effectively

      Sales negotiation skills

Excellent keyboard skills with experience of in-house database systems and MS Office

Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with minimal supervision

Positive, can do attitude
