Job Title: Night Shift Manager
Salary: Up to £45,000k DOE
Location: Burnley
Hours : Monday to Thursday 5.30pm to 4am
Type: Permanent
Our client based in Burnley is currently has an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Manager to join their Team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking person with food production experience.
- Full responsibility for overseeing the production of every shift, ensuring targets are met and your shift is running efficiently and effectively.
Ensuring adherence to production plans- Help with planning of weekly production schedules/plan. Liaise with day shift production manager and Operations Director where changes are required.
Working with the engineer department to ensure all equipment/ plant are running safely and effectively.
Optimise resources, control staffing level to agreed levels with your Operations Director, to ensure all production is completed on daily basis,
Proactively manage your staff ensuring you have the trained operatives to performance all relevant tasks. Ensure you have a plan in place to ensure you have continuous cover for all roles and are working towards multi skilled team.
Manage your supervisor and team leaders to ensure they are delivering on all aspects of their roles efficiently.
KPI- measure your shifts performance against set and agreed .
Ensure compliance and accuracy of all paperwork from your team to give correct information to all departments.
Making sure all product are produced in line with agreed customer specifications.
Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
Continuous improvement- look at ways on how we could improve our process that would contribute to improved efficiencies.
Identify bottlenecks or weak areas within our process, drive and implement improvement plan to address these issues, generate a justification plan that incorporates the costs, pay back and benefits to business.
Identify any training requirements for your team. Organise and plan required training where appropriate.
Annual Staff appraisal - Daily meetings
Help training officer to improve our SOP for all production operations, work with training officer to free staff up so training can be carried out.
Essential Skills :
Experience in FMCG/ Food environment +5 years
Have a good knowledge of BRCGS food standards /HACCP L3/FSL3
Strong Excel knowledge and skills
Attention to detail - quality controlling
