QUALITY CONTROL ASSISTANT

OUTSKIRTS OF NEWPORT           

PERMANENT FULL TIME: MON TO THURS 8AM TO 5PM FRI 8AM TO 1PM

SALARY: £22,500 plus benefits

Due to internal promotions, Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit a Quality Control Assistant for our client, a specialist manufacturer based on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales.

Main Purpose of Role

To inspect assembled products prior to release as per NPI and customer specific requirements.  Assume responsibility for the effectiveness of the customer returns and paid work processes (RMA) in line with customer and company requirements.

Assist with purchased product verification

Outcomes of Role

  • Satisfied internal and external customers
  • Inspect assembled product to ensure that it meets customer specifications.
  • Generate certificate of conformity documentation.
  • Reduce/eliminate outgoing defects reaching the customer.
  • Assume role of Team leader in their absence

Job Scope

               

Responsibilities

  • Inspect NPI first off unit prior to release in line with IPC-A-610 standards and/or customer specific requirements.
  • Generate certificates of conformity for “specific” customer requirements.
  • RMA Generation – Within 24 hours of request
  • Customer return process control – 10 day turnaround time target
  • Monitor and report CRN metrics
  • Paid work process control – In line with customer PO requirements
  • Rework product as and when required.
  • Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Conduct online product audits in line with IPC-A-610 standards and/or customer specific requirements.
  • Assist with purchased material verification
  • Daily WIP inspection reports (Production, Process, Quality).
  • Any other duties deemed necessary.

Skills (include professional or educational qualifications required)

  • IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 Experience
  • Experience in manufacture of PCB assemblies
  • Working in teams, good Communication skills
  • Previous experience in reworking of SMT and PTH “Conduction/convection methods”.
  • IT Competent
 

Knowledge/Experience

  • Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 (All classification requirements).
  • CRN Process
  • Paid work process
  • Supervisory experience

Remuneration Package

£22,500 – negotiable depending on skills and experience.

A new role has been created for a regional account manager to cover the North of England up to Scotland. The role is working on a field basis with remote working offered on the days you aren’t visiting clients sites. Due to this being a field-based role base location is negotiable however being nearby the M62 is desirable.

With a reporting line to the UK Sales Manager, the successful post holders will be an integral part of the sales team and contribute to the planning and delivery of a national sales strategy and be responsible for the development and implementation of business specific sales goals.

For this role our client is looking for someone with proven experience within a scientific/medical sales environment. Preferably you will have experience selling into the clinical market (NHS) however no microbiology background is required. This is a perfect role for someone who is looking to start a career within diagnostic sales within an established business, with a supportive management line & established client base.

This role offers a competitive basic salary depending on experience, company car and commission structure.

For over 70 years our client’s clinical products have been at the forefront of laboratory science. With a broad spectrum of carefully engineered pre-analytical products that are operable across conventional and molecular testing platforms, the products are the de facto standard aiding the diagnosis of infectious disease.

KEY Roles & Responsibilities.

  • To grow Sales within the North of England and Scotland with established accounts and new business
  • To Identify and report on business-to-business opportunities in target markets
  • To maximise business opportunities, build a strong pipeline, and driving sector growth
  • To meet and exceed revenue expectations
  • Support sales process by anticipating and resolving issues expediently
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry issues and competitive landscape
  • Represent customer interests in driving business strategy and management decisions
  • Work cooperatively with executive management, colleagues to foster a positive company culture
  • Maintain accurate sales records through Sage CRM

Skills and Experience

  • Be self-motivated and have a commitment to over-achievement

  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and ability to use effectively for reporting and opportunity management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Be comfortable working within a field based role, expectations of 3-4 days on the road per week.
