Job Objective

Assume the full duties and responsibilities for all aspects of QE management system, coordination, control and compliance in terms of ISO9001, ISO14001 & group policy.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and adherence to QEM system (ISO 9001/ ISO 14001) & legislation
• Ongoing development of the QEM System & Manuals
• Creation and control of documentation
• Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting implementing improvements
• The successful organisation of all internal and external QE (product/process) audits including customer and supplier audits.
• Monitoring Action Plans and the efficacy of the resultant measures/activities.
• Participates as required as part of LEONI BGPS internal audit team.
• Responsible for management of and liaison with QE auditors to acquire/maintain Company's accreditations
• Report on Company's QE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required
• Monitor and advise on all QE matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements
• Liaise with Customers, Suppliers, Agencies regarding QE matters, ensuring their expectations are met
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for QE matters
• Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QE Standards and the relevance to business objectives
• Report and disposition IRs (Internal Rejects)
• Report and disposition SRs (Sales Returns)
• Analysis and interpretation of non-conformity and ensuring elimination of root cause/viability and sustainability of Corrective Action.
• Monitoring/control/improvement of company aspects and impacts.

Special knowledge, skills & duties

• Knowledge of quality tools e.g. 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, Process Capability etc.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO 14001 standards
• Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers and other service providers

Job Objective

Ensure the companies plant & machinery are kept in effective, safe and efficient condition with minimum disruption to production

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Carrying out any electrical/mechanical remedial work on production machinery to achieve optimum machine utilisations.
• Liaising with Shift leaders and operators to prioritise jobs and achieve efficient repairs with as little interruption to production as possible.
• To ensure that all factory essential services are maintained, i.e., electrical supplies, compressed air, nitrogen, water, effluent systems.
• To ensure at all times that all running machinery is kept in a safe condition.
• To log on the pc-based maintenance system, full details of all work carried out, thereby helping to maintain the company’s machine historical records.
• Carry out PAT testing where required to ensure company equipment is maintained in a safe condition.
• Carry out PM work on Payoff Stands and other equipment as requested
• Carry out project/development work as requested
• Notifying the Engineering Coordinator of any issues that may need further attention.
• Any other duties within the Engineering remit as requested by the Engineering Coordinator

SERVICE ENGINEER / BRISTOL - PERMANENT ROLE

Location: Bradley Stoke, Bristol

Assignment: Permanent contract

Hours: 4 on, 4 off nights 19:00pm - 07:00am

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

The successful candidates will be responsible for identifying and fixing faults on mailing machines and associated equipment. To assist production in gaining best running speeds whilst reducing remake waste to continually improve efficiencies through production.

Duties as a Service Engineer:

• Report all Health and Safety matters immediately to Manager and follow SSOW
• To comply with the Information Security Management Systems and its associated policies
• Effect repairs to mailing machines and associated equipment where necessary, such as mechanical fault repairs
• Maintain, support and service any piece of production associated equipment, Cutters and Strapping machines
• Liaise with Production Management Teams on machine performance problems and improvements
• Provide ideas and feedback to the Production Management teams on machine problems
• Maintain proper administration of parts usage
• Communicate effectively problems and solutions either written or verbally
• Communicate to relevant stakeholders information that can assist the site to have a greater efficiency
• Be a strong continuous improvement leader, look for opportunities, report on successes and failures
• Mentor machine operators in order to enhance their operating skills
• Be pro-active at all times to help maximize productivity
• Highlight and bring to Managers attention any exposure to risk for the department or business
• Ensure a clear and precise handover is given to the oncoming team members
• To keep the work area clean and tidy at all times

About you:

• Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Good diagnostic skills
• Ability to follow electrical diagrams

• Ability to do board level repairs preferred but not essential

This is a superb opportunity for someone to join a successful and innovative company with potential to progress into Account Management. The office is brand new and in an excellent location.

This is a very busy multi-tasking role which requires excellent communication skills and proven telephone skills in a similar role. Candidates should be highly presentable, educated to degree level with a high level of self-motivation and be articulate and professional.

Your time initially will be spent learning the basics e.g. studying our products, liaising with our UK and foreign customers on the phone and providing all aspects of administration within the office including sales order processing, answering telephone enquiries from customers and suppliers, providing quotes, taking, placing, and organising the despatch of orders including packing and liaising with the technical workshop. You will also provide be involved in maintaining databases and collating data for sales and marketing reports.

Once competent in the above duties, you will take on responsibility under the guidance of sales management for the day-to-day account management of our some of our UK and foreign customer base, as well as working on telemarketing campaigns to promote our products within our niche market. While this is not a sales role, you should be highly competent on the phone and have proven experience in a sales or telemarketing role.

Project Engineers

Location: Gloucester

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.45pm, Friday 8am to 12.30pm

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000(DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing all project scope and technical documentation
• Checking drawings and technical specifications from clients and suppliers
• Obtaining quotations for products and services
• Raising manufacturing requests for materials / tools / equipment that are supplied in-house
• Placing orders for products and services using Company financial systems
• Overseeing in-house engineering design of mould tooling and providing project approval
• Monitoring and expediting delivery of in-house and supplier provided items
• Arranging and coordinating logistics, utilising Company transportation subcontractors
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with Company and legislative procedures
• Working in line with requirements of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems

An integral part of this role involves site visits and activities where you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating field personnel for site works and producing site handover packs
• Supporting the Senior Project Manager with detailed site schedule planning
• Monitoring and supporting site activities, liaising daily with Site Managers/Supervisors
• Obtaining and reviewing necessary site paperwork
• Collation and submittal of Manufacturing Record Books detailing completed site activities
