Senior SEO Executive / Strategist

Main Responsibilities of the Senior SEO Executive

• Increase the organic visibility of our websites through the application of best-in-class SEO tactics and constant performance measurement.
• Undertake in-depth SEO audits of our websites, making on-page and technical SEO recommendations to ensure that they meet best practices and are optimised for search engines.
• Identify UK market search trends and perform detailed keyword research to ensure that our websites are optimised for the correct words and phrases.
• Perform regular keyword research, preparation and analysis and weekly negative keyword research & search query reporting
• Perform ongoing competitor keyword analysis & reporting
• Stay up to date with search algorithm updates, advancements, and opportunities within SEO, where relevant share this information with the ecommerce team.
• Assistant with digital campaigns in creating content such as blogs, product descriptions etc, to drive traffic to our websites and increase revenue

Experience and Skills required of the Senior SEO Executive

• Previous experience within a SEO role and be able to know SEO inside out and self-motivated to learn the latest trends.
• Experience using SEO and Analytics tools, such as SEM Rush, Google Trends, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
• Basic knowledge of Google & Bing AdWords and setting up and monitoring PPC campaigns.
• Experience with the Magento and WordPress CMS, uploading and editing content (Preferred)
• Basic knowledge of HTML

Job title: Copywriter & Content Coordinator

Location: Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter

Assignment: Permanent contract

Salary: £26,000-£28,500

The role

This is a rewarding, varied role that offers exposure to the whole marketing mix, with a focus on writing excellent copy and co-ordinating content for various marketing channels. Reporting to the Senior Communications & PR Officer, this role will serve as a copy lead for a host of collaborative marketing projects. In particular, the role will entail:

Main duties and responsibilities:

Provide excellent copywriting for multichannel campaigns, including brochure content, sales materials, video scripting, blogs and other branded content

Champion the voice, tone, and style of the Group, with creative approach to all written communications and copy outlets

Proactively manage personal workflow, schedule, and deadlines

Coordinate the lifecycles of our extensive range of brochures in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and support export markets

Co-ordinating all aspects of regular retailer communications, including first-rate written communications and co-ordination of direct mail and email content

Supporting the Senior Communications & PR Officer with PR content where required, including writing creative copy for national lifestyle publications

Co-ordinating marketing materials required for launch of new products to the UK and Republic of Ireland

Ensure first-class execution of materials by editing and proofreading marketing collateral across channels - including brochures, letters, price lists and point of sale

Maintaining company relations in a marketing capacity with the Group's independent retailers across the UK and Republic of Ireland

Staying on top of industry news to inform well-versed communications across all literature

Maintain existing CRM database of retailers to ensure accuracy of information and relevance to potential marketing activity

Supporting the Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator in their task of updating web copy to ensure all information is accurate and reflective of key marketing messages

Supporting the Export Marketing Co-ordinator with written copy made available for translation

Assist the Marketing Director by undertaking vital competitor analysis and market research for key marketing reports

Realising the overarching marketing goals and objectives, and communications strategy

Take part in the general day to day operations of the busy Marketing department

Assist in building and maintaining company relations with journalists and editors where required

Skills and experience sought:

Degree level education in English, creative writing, or similar field

Experience in a marketing/copywriting environment an advantage

Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills

Excellent copywriting skills and command over English language, including all aspects of punctuation and grammar

Understanding of marketing communications and techniques

Understanding of SEO techniques and writing for web audiences advantageous

Experience of design and print projects advantageous

Skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Photoshop and PowerPoint an advantage

Creative, 'hands-on' approach

Ability to comprehend quickly new technologies and software

Pro-active and responsive to generate new opportunities

This position offers the opportunity to be a part of a team of 8 design engineers working on a wide range of components, sub-assemblies and complete machines. Primary role: To prepare detailed drawings in 3D for in-house manufacture.

Reports to: Design Office Manager.

Key tasks:

o Design:

• Designing components and products based on:
• In-house engineering briefs.
• Reference to appropriate standards.
• Manufacturing capabilities; optimising use of the punch press and laser; CNC turning/milling centre.
• Permissible time scales.
• Preparation of 3-D with flat-form drawings suitable for manufacture.
• Filing in 'Vault' drawing management system

• Preparation of BOM to accompany each drawing generated.
• Generating cost report on punching/laser/press work, using Radan E2i system to accompany each drawing generated.

o Production Engineering:

• Working with production engineers and production management to introduce improved methods, tooling, jigs etc. via design.

o Project Engineering:

• Taking responsibility for some specific design/production projects.
• Participation in technical reviews.

Requirements:

- Essential:

• Some experience of sheet metal for engineering design.
• High level of competency with 3D design - Inventor or Solidworks.

- Desirable:

• Some experience of CNC machining techniques.
