Operations Manager - Facilities Management

Location: Didcot

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - some flexibility required

Salary: competitive and dependent on experience

You will be site based, working with Clients located in around the Oxford area and responsible for running high profile and demanding Contracts both strategically and operationally for all services relating to FM.

Key Responsibilities:

      Overseeing the allocation of work, attendance and performance management of Contracted Services for both, Hard and Soft services

Reviewing the contract financials to ensure budget accuracy for all services supplied

Actively update the CAFM system (Computer aided facilities Management) and routinely interrogate ensuring that contract compliance is being maintained through adherence to KPI'S, and ensuring that maximum utility of the system is being gained by the Contractual support team

Carry out the staff reviews and appraisals in line with HR processes and Identifying any training needs and personal development opportunities

Create and implement customer engagement strategies to ensure effective management of Client relationships

Creation of comprehensive Management Information and Executive reporting

Experience, attributes & skills sought:

      Minimum of five years' experience within the field of maintenance of buildings and general-purpose infrastructure and technical installations

Minimum of five years of relevant managerial experience in an equivalent role

Proven experience in starting-up and successfully running performance based multi- services contracts worth more than 2 million GBP per year with a team of more than 20 people (on a full-time basis)

NEBOSH/IOSH advantageous

Role Responsibilities:-

Production

  • Provide administrative support to ensure that all systems are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
  • Run mateff reports to manage material yields
  • Update the TMS anomalies in line with payroll demands
  • Produce and display all production KPI's
  • Holiday planning and administration of overtime
  • Compile data to assist the management team with any performance management
  • Support process improvement activities
  • Involvement in the site maintenance program
  • Support the planner and cover in their absence
  • Type correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • After the appropriate training conduct company quality/risk/other audits
  • Help coordinate the maintenance, and updates required for SOP WI documents

  • Take the lead with regards to any H&S issue throughout the department, ensuring that all staff are complying with the company procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant administration responsibility
  • Experience of networking across multi-site organisation
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Effective verbal and listening skills
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • IT literate to intermediate level on excel, work, outlook.
