BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / EXETER - PERMANENT ROLE

Location: Langdons Business Park, Exeter

Assignment: Permanent contract

Salary: Competitive basic salary commission

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for our well-known manufacturing company based in Exeter. This role would be 60% field-based travelling across the UK and 40% office based.

We are happy to hear from candidates who have previously worked within a Business Development role or from candidates who are eager to learn with a positive attitude looking to get into a sales-based role.

This role offers a competitive salary dependent on your experience with a commission structure also in place.

Duties as a Business Development Manager:

  • Generating leads via your own research and following up
  • Spotting new business opportunities
  • Booking meetings with new and existing clients
  • Managing and developing new business across the UK
  • Negotiating contractual agreements
  • Actively involved in customer service and finding out what the companies customers need
  • Gaining constructive feedback from customers and feeding back improvements to the business
  • Opening new accounts and building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Develop and deliver creative sales initiatives to develop relationships
  • Talk knowledgeably and confidently about the business' products

About you:

  • Previous busines development experience within a manufacturing company is desired but not essential
  • Flexible for working hours
  • Willing to commute, this is not a purely office-based role
  • Passion and eager to learn
  • Commitment and motivation to achieve goals and exceed targets
  • A full UK driving license

In this location you can earn a basic salary of £19,800 per annum and on-target earning taking you up to £23,200
