The opportunity,
To join an established, award winning Legionella Control and Water Safety business, whose sustained success over the past decade has led to significant growth and development.
The Role
Is blended between field based and office, usually comprising one office to write up risk assessments etc. It includes a physical aspect of climbing into loft spaces to trace pipework, accessing Cold Water Storage and Hot water storage systems.You will be required to work away for usually two nights per week, sometimes three, with two to three weeks notice given in advance. Overnight allowance for food and drink are given and fleet vehicles provided.
Responsibilities
- You will be expected to do some administrative duties which will include the use of a Tablet to log your work and upload completed jobs on a daily basis
- Able to organise your own workload and complete in order of urgency
- Communicate effectively with admin and supervisor to ensure works are completed.
- To be courteous when completing works on healthcare properties
- To be able to work alone, but be able to complete work as a team where required.
- Carry out Risk Assessments and surveys to comply with ACoP L8, HSG 274, HTM 04-01 and further relevant documents across a range of commercial, industrial and residential properties
- Produce all reports accurately and to a high standard
- Production of floor plans/schematics as per internal procedures (using computer-based drawing applications)
- Use of proprietary software applications to produce required documents and reports
- Be capable of following written and verbal instructions accurately and effectively, flexibility is a must to assist clients and business needs.
- You will need to possess excellent communication skills to communicate with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Work to write-up departmental KPI to ensure the client receives prompt reports
- Present a professional image to clients
Essential Requirements
- A-C passes in Maths, English & Sciences
- IT Skills – able to work on a Tablet to create job reports
- Able to drive short/long distances every day
- Hold a full Clean Driving License
- Must have clearance from DBS
- Must be able to stay away from home at least 2 nights a week

- Experience in Water Hygiene Industry
- WH004 qualification to risk assess legionella in hot and cold water systems
- Legionella Awareness Course with an approved contractor
- Understanding Health & Safety regulations
- Understanding of ACOP L8
- HSG274 Part 2 familiarity
- BS8580 familiarity
- Understanding of water regs and systems * COSHH

The Vacancy
- Day to day management of drivers, planning of routes and organising ad-hoc amendments as required
- Overseeing operations of a fleet of approx. 20 vehicles plus 3rd party subcontractors
- Ensuring exceptional service to our Customers.
- Confident, quick and capable, you will have a good working knowledge of the UK road network, computerised traffic systems and drivers' hours legislation.
- Delivering driver de-briefs
- Liaising with other stakeholders, both internal and external

Location: Chepstow, UK
Hours of Work: 40 hours, 07.30 - 15.30 / 12.00-20.00 M-F (1 week rotating)
Salary: Up to £43k negotiable depending on experience
Hawk 3 Talent are working with a specialist global manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their Chepstow site. Excellent opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
As Maintenance Technician you'll enjoy being a critical part of the team and work flexibly across a variety of activities.
As Maintenance Technician you'll 'roll your sleeves up and get stuck in' wherever you're needed carrying out a variety of different tasks including routine / preventative maintenance/mechanical settings and fault diagnosis across all the facility and systems, some major items include:
- Vertical powder paint line.
- Semi - automated packing (tapping & spiral wrap) lines.
- Paint line conveyor/track.
- Spray guns reciprocator.
- A range of liquid pumps, valves and heating elements in chemical treatment and wastewater treatment plant; and Polyamide rolling lines and packing machines.
As a Maintenance Technician you'll be working with aluminum rolling machines (and there aren't many of those around) so we'll make sure you'll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a Maintenance technician is a bonus but, as a minimum we're looking for you to demonstrate that you have:
- Proven experience of being a competent qualified electrical technician.
- Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A self?motivated proactive approach to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven experience of reading machine schematics.
- Ability to build, maintain effective working partnerships with colleagues - we're a team and better when we work together!
- If you have any experience of machine setting that's a bonus!
This role does involves physical movement including lifting, bending, twisting and carrying with loads of up to 20kg as a core part of the role.
Role details
40 hours per week alternating shift between 06.00 - 14.00 / 14.00 - 22.00
Salary - up to 43,000.00 depending on experience.
