Responsibilities

  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you'll listen to and translate cross-departmental stakeholder needs into high-level technical specifications, designing and developing recommended solutions and consulting with senior management to ensure smooth implementation. Whether battling large system processes or leveraging our home-grown suite of products, you help colleagues work faster and customers access our systems more efficiently.

The internal suite of products and processes impact colleagues in every department, including the Contact Centre, Litigation, HR, Finance and more. The client invests heavily in engineering excellence through their teams and the Business Change team are a crucial component as a Business Analyst, you'll pave the way for best-in-class and enterprising solutions.

Duties of the Senior Business Analyst

  • Researching, reviewing and recommending business solutions
  • Supporting best practice across the business and being a champion for the change process
  • Nurturing relationships with business-wide stakeholders and managing relationships between developers, business teams, and suppliers
  • Developing change scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure feasibility
  • Analysing, mapping, creating and improving business processes and workflows
  • Translating business requirements into appropriate change specifications
  • Performing risk and issue management to minimise change risks
  • Handling multiple projects from start-up through to transition and into support
  • Creating and managing test plans and scripts, conducting functional testing, co-ordinating and documenting results

Skills/Knowledge/Experience of the Senior Business Analyst

  • At least 2 years' experience in analytical role(s) in a business environment
  • At least 18 months experience in mapping processes and workflows
  • A proven track record working collaboratively with Software Developers within an Agile framework
  • Experience in the drafting of User Stories to a high standard within Atlassian's Jira or similar
  • Experience of project delivery within prescribed timeframes
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Interpersonal, consultative and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with case management systems (desirable not essential)
  • Experience in working in a financial, customer services or legal services environment (desirable but not essential)
