The Role

This company is  growing fast, and they are now seeking an experienced and confident

management accountant to join their team. Assisting with accounting within the group,

you will report directly to the finance director.

As an integral part of the team, you will support the finance function and follow

processes and best practices, you will be highly organised and a multi-tasker who can

work in a busy environment. An excellent communicator who will be able to work to a

high standard and ensure 100% accuracy.

Duties

  • Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly management accounts,

reports and communications

  • Management and oversight of all financial aspects of the business to include

accounts receivable, accounts payable management, sales ledger, purchase

ledger, legislative requirements in all forms and cash flow planning.

  • Inter-company account management
  • Investor portfolio management and reporting
  • Daily bank reconciliations across all SPV’s
  • Ability to present to key stakeholders and investors
  • Monthly preparation and analysis of balance sheets and P&L accounts
  • Strengthen financial controls by creating and implementing business processes

 

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

 

  • Previous management accounting experience required
  • Fully or Part qualified and studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Dedicated and flexible work attitude towards completion of deliverables
  • Able to demonstrate strong business acumen
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the group

Manage the organisation and administration of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) ensuring that procedures and processes are created, maintained to the required standard and corrected or improved in accordance with the recommendations of compliance audits by external certification bodies.

Coordinate area and task-specific risk assessments in cooperation with area supervisors, team leaders and operators to identify hazards that present a risk to our employees' health and safety. Define, lead and manage the implementation of resulting corrective actions or control measures to eliminate these risks.

Conduct regular and detailed audits of the company's QHSE processes and procedures to identify good practice, opportunities for improvement and non-conformance. Work collaboratively with process owners to convey your observations and implement controlled revisions to improve their overall effectiveness.

Lead investigations into health, safety and environmental incidents and quality related non-conformities. Proactively manage containment and the implementation of corrective actions to eliminate root causes.

  • Clear communicator with the confidence to lead and motivate others to achieve planned outcomes.
  • Team oriented with the ability to recognise inter-functional customer/supplier relationships.
  • Focused on proactive prevention and logical identification of root cause.
  • Able to provide training and guidance in both formal and informal settings.
  • Organised and numerate with a systematic and disciplined approach to administration.
  • Practical IT skills proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you'll listen to and translate cross-departmental stakeholder needs into high-level technical specifications, designing and developing recommended solutions and consulting with senior management to ensure smooth implementation. Whether battling large system processes or leveraging our home-grown suite of products, you help colleagues work faster and customers access our systems more efficiently.

The internal suite of products and processes impact colleagues in every department, including the Contact Centre, Litigation, HR, Finance and more. The client invests heavily in engineering excellence through their teams and the Business Change team are a crucial component as a Business Analyst, you'll pave the way for best-in-class and enterprising solutions.

Duties of the Senior Business Analyst

  • Researching, reviewing and recommending business solutions
  • Supporting best practice across the business and being a champion for the change process
  • Nurturing relationships with business-wide stakeholders and managing relationships between developers, business teams, and suppliers
  • Developing change scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure feasibility
  • Analysing, mapping, creating and improving business processes and workflows
  • Translating business requirements into appropriate change specifications
  • Performing risk and issue management to minimise change risks
  • Handling multiple projects from start-up through to transition and into support
  • Creating and managing test plans and scripts, conducting functional testing, co-ordinating and documenting results

Skills/Knowledge/Experience of the Senior Business Analyst

  • At least 2 years' experience in analytical role(s) in a business environment
  • At least 18 months experience in mapping processes and workflows
  • A proven track record working collaboratively with Software Developers within an Agile framework
  • Experience in the drafting of User Stories to a high standard within Atlassian's Jira or similar
  • Experience of project delivery within prescribed timeframes
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Interpersonal, consultative and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with case management systems (desirable not essential)
  • Experience in working in a financial, customer services or legal services environment (desirable but not essential)
