Role:

Work closely with the Engineering Team Lead, taking responsibility for delivering a high-quality engineering service in support of the achievement of operational targets.

Complete the full range of maintenance activities across the entire installed asset base within the area that they work.

Rapidly diagnose and resolve both mechanical, electrical plus basic control & instrumentation faults.

Job Objective:

  • Competent at completing safety device system checks and isolation activities and immediately reporting any non-conformances and food safety concerns.
  • Competent at identifying and arranging permit to work documentation, reviewing safe system of work documentation, completing dynamic risk assessments or using the STAR process to mitigate emerging hazards (Stop, Think, Act, Review - Behavioural Safety).
  • Competent at completing contractor control processes.
  • Specialist knowledge (e.g., ammonia plant / legionella management), LOTO, Working safely.
  • Participation in key safe behaviour conversations, the Factory safety observation system, and area risk assessments.
  • Ensure all personal mandatory safety requirements are met.
  • Competent at completing documentation / SAP / CMMS entries.
  • Competent at complying with Engineering Standards / GMP / HACCP.
  • Adheres to change control processes.
  • Awareness of critical calibrations (PM's) apply right first-time engineering standards to all.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Mechanical and Electrical Engineer with FMCG experience (Over 2 years FMCG experience).
  • Compliant with mandatory training - plant/factory and role specific. Provides buddying training to other Team Members.
  • Supports the creation and training of area specific SOPs.
  • Work collaboratively with all teams.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced QA Technician to drive a quality culture on site by being the first point of contact for all factory quality activities through the auditing of process from intake through to finished goods. The QA Technician will be reporting to the QA Manager.

Duties of the QA Technician

  • As the QA Technician you will be auditing people, products, systems, procedures and documentation to identify areas of noncompliance against the company Food Safety and Quality Management System.
  • Collecting all product samples/environmental swabs/samples for testing as determined by schedule (or on request e.g., shelf-life samples)
  • Supporting the QA Manager and Technical Services Coordinator in the development of the sites FSQMS.
  • Ensure all issues raised from pest control visits are communicated to the relevant departments and remedial action is completed within the agreed timescale
  • The QA Technician will need to log all samples onto the relevant lab systems for testing and prepare boxes for collection by the lab
  • You will be reviewing all products/swabs/sample results onto the system to ensure conformity and act with finished goods/raw materials in the event of an out of specification result
  • Conducting technical risk assessments in area of responsibility where required
  • You will be completing complaint investigations with the relevant departmental manager to determine a root cause and ensure the implementation of effective corrective and preventive action.
  • Supporting site visits as and when required or requested by the QA Manager or Technican Manager

Person Specification

  • The QA Technician it is essential you have experience in the food and dairy industry as well as an understanding of cheese; manufacture and composition is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge and experience of food safety, quality issues and auditing within a food manufacturing environment
  • As the QA Technician, you will need experience in production as well as working knowledge of the line
  • Able to work as a team player
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • The QA Technician must be able to prioritise workload and have excellent organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Must be flexible and adaptable
