Summary

The Customer Service Co-Ordinator is directly responsible for answering customer enquiries via telephone and email. This role is vital to support the company's reputation for providing an outstanding quality of service - to manage deadlines and customer expectations, ensuring timely resolution of queries.

Key Responsibilities

· Updating the internal operating system dealing with circa 400 customers to ensure clarity, precision and information is correct and up to date

      Communicate with customers on production progress; keeping a good communication flow with customers; advising and answering questions or concerns; taking calls etc.

Attend meetings with customers to support effective communication; feeding back to the production team as needed

Work with the Production Team to assist in planning work in order to meet or exceed customer deadlines

Raising and administrating Purchase Orders for Sub contract operations of customer's parts.

Communicate with the team regarding customer information and updates

Escalate production issues with customer work as required; working with the Flow managers to develop a solution and solve problems as needed.

To work supportively with the Poeton group and the personnel at all sites - communicating effectively and working collaboratively across all sites

Perform other duties as may be assigned by the line manager or as per the requirements of the business

400 customers across the aerospace and commercial industries

Skills and Experience

      Good knowledge of production processes

Good knowledge of supply chain and end user

Excellent knowledge of customer service requirements

Experience working in a dynamic technical, operating environment

  • Experience working across teams - ability to communicate well with others and work flexibly
  • Customer Service Experience in manufacturing / production sector desirable
  • Experience dealing with a large customer base

Receipting deliveries onto SAP for sister company sales

Full co-ordination and communication of production planning, working in liaison with relevant colleagues to effectively respond to demand, volumes and workflows.

Communication of the planning documents to ensure all associated teams have awareness of and commitment to the planning schedule, identifying and solving problems

Support the Manager in adapting the plan to respond to workflow issues, supply shortages and all other aspects that may need to be considered

Effective reporting of stock levels for both internal and 3rd party warehouses (where applicable)

Monitoring data recorded in SAP to ensure efficient and reliable data can be utilised for reporting to colleagues and suppliers when required.

Co-ordination of supplies and activation of new supplier accounts to support the business needs, monitoring service levels achieved and feeding back to the relevant suppliers when service is less than expected.

Providing administrative resource and support to the monthly stock take activity

Cost effective purchasing of supplies and monitoring of supplier performance to feed into business review activity & audits.

Skills & Abilities:

 

Strong IT skills with the confidence to work with Excel to record, extract and compare data

Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate accuracy in all key areas of tasks assigned

Ability to support the Line Manager and work effectively with other teams to ensure linkage across the teams and knowledge share with colleagues

Effective Communicator with the ability to support negotiations and deal with supplier pressures

Comfortable working unsupervised and being able to manage workload and priorities
