Summary:

Our client based in Stonehouse are currently recruiting for supply and planning co-ordinator with a track record of successful delivery to join them.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination, sourcing and monitoring of all supply chain admin activity and associated planning of production activity to ensure:Accurate reconciliation of production data & reporting

Effective control of planning schedule, working in collaboration with key colleagues to communicate adequately across all levels.

Receipting of deliveries onto ERP System & checking details/costs etc to support inventory management

Monitoring of stock/materials and ensuring adequate ordering timescales are applied & maintained to balance supply and demand throughout the supply chain.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

 

Ensuring information booked on SAP is accurately matched to the production records

Investigating any incorrect bookings & preparing documents in relation to supply chain documents, reports, performance indicators and correspondence.

Receipting deliveries onto SAP for sister company sales

Full co-ordination and communication of production planning, working in liaison with relevant colleagues to effectively respond to demand, volumes and workflows.

Communication of the planning documents to ensure all associated teams have awareness of and commitment to the planning schedule, identifying and solving problems

Support the Manager in adapting the plan to respond to workflow issues, supply shortages and all other aspects that may need to be considered

Effective reporting of stock levels for both internal and 3rd party warehouses (where applicable)

Monitoring data recorded in SAP to ensure efficient and reliable data can be utilised for reporting to colleagues and suppliers when required.

Co-ordination of supplies and activation of new supplier accounts to support the business needs, monitoring service levels achieved and feeding back to the relevant suppliers when service is less than expected.

Providing administrative resource and support to the monthly stock take activity

Cost effective purchasing of supplies and monitoring of supplier performance to feed into business review activity & audits.

Skills & Abilities:

 

Strong IT skills with the confidence to work with Excel to record, extract and compare data

Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate accuracy in all key areas of tasks assigned

Ability to support the Line Manager and work effectively with other teams to ensure linkage across the teams and knowledge share with colleagues

Effective Communicator with the ability to support negotiations and deal with supplier pressures

Comfortable working unsupervised and being able to manage workload and priorities

Show flexibility as and when required to ensure tasks are completed and support is offered across the business

Knowledge & Experience

 

GCSE or above qualification in Maths & English

Knowledge of Excel and data recording & reporting

Experience of stock control and activity planning would be beneficial

Previous experience of working in an SME Environment

Experience of the Food/Drink sector would be advantageous

Manage the development of new products and processes

Specification & execution of test programs for development and validation of new products

Supporting the business development team with on-site visits, customer calls and event

attendance

Acting as a point of contact for suppliers, customers, sister sites and internal departments

Become the technical expert in the business for a product range

Mechanical design engineering with composite & metallic materials

Completion of numerical and mechanical analysis, as required to demonstrate and validate

products

Occasional UK travel likely, infrequent overseas travel possible

Skills Required :
