£42,000 - £45,000 per annum
Commutable from Thirsk, Ripon, Wetherby, York, Harrogate
Permanent Office based role working Monday to Friday 40hrs per week
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced HR Manager to work for a company based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire
The Role
Reporting to the site General Manager, the HR Manager is responsible for coordinating the operations of the HR Department. You will lead and manage the HR team and be responsible for the overall HR generalist remit, providing advice and guidance across a range of HR responsibilities,
absence management, talent, retention and employee wellbeing, recruitment, modern slavery & ethics, performance and employee relations.
Duties
- Responsible for the HR lifecycle, Recruitment, selection, onboarding and management throughout employment
- Working closely with central HR and L&D to ensure successful implementation
- Support the HR team to create and deliver processes to deliver timely and compliant employee lifecycle processes
- Manage and lead the HR team including regular 121’s and goal and objective setting
- Accountable for delivery of training throughout the site
- Absence Management
- Manage early career initiatives such as apprenticeships, traineeships, industrial placements and graduate rotations
- Manage and support work the probationary process
- Establish a recruitment process
Skills/Experience
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- CIPD qualified or significant experience in HR
- HR Generalist
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and Procedures

Main Responsibilities of the Learning and Development Manager

- Acts as a role model for change through developing and implementing change management principles.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and support on all HR matters occurring as part of transformation activity ensuring actions minimize risk and financial exposure.
Experience and Skills required
- Proven experience within a L&D capacity.
- Experiencing supporting and implementing HR/business change programmes.
- Qualified CIPD member or equivalent professional qualification/Degree in HR or related discipline /relevant professional experience.
- Train the trainer (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Commercial acumen and credibility.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
