Role Responsibilities

Due to continued growth in the Private Client department the firm are now looking for a Private Client Senior Associate / Partner 6 PQE to join head up their department and lead a busy team.

The firm has a reputation for Private Client Law and have several Partners and Solicitors who are experienced in; Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Probate and Court of Protection for capacity issues including deputyship.

You will be responsible for.

  • Preparation of wills, advice on trusts, capacity, inheritance tax
  • Networking and business development for contentious workflows
  • Advise and liaison with clients on contentious probate matters, deputyships.
  • Mediation and negotiation on contested matters

This role will incorporate additional responsibility alongside your usual fee earning responsibilities and business development activity. This role needs an established Senior Associate or Partner who will review department policy and client strategy, to help and inspire team members and review workload and progress of the department.

The ideal candidate will be a Private Client Senior Associate or Private Client Partner from a reputable background in a High Street or Regional Firm.

Duties

  • Control, development, and administration of all Quality System documentation in line with current working practices, legislation, and ISO 9001:2015 criteria 
  • Completion of quality correspondence in relation to onboarding new customers and suppliers
  • Implement and manage the company internal audit schedule acting as lead auditor, reporting findings and driving actions for process improvement with key stakeholders
  • Mentor and coach internal audit team
  • Analyse data and compile monthly reports for management on customer and supplier non-conformances
  • Collate data for annual quality management review presentation
  • Review and communicate to customers, changes to industry legislation and compliance
  • Manage customer new product introduction (PPAP process)
  • Support sales and purchasing teams to investigate customer and supplier non-conformances to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Conduct customer and supplier on-site quality visits noting required actions
  • Manage the calibration register and organise third party calibration of key equipment

  • 2 years experience working in a quality management role
