Due to business growth, Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit a Customer Account Manager for our client, a specialist manufacturer based on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales.

Main Purpose of Role

To gather client requirements, developing an implementation schedule and quarterly financial forecasts, and executing the roll-out. As well as monitor all aspects of program performance - technical work, program management, material sourcing, financial goals, issue management and escalation, risk management, compliance, security, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multi discipline teams to ensure that projects are delivered to time cost and quality.  
  • Contribute to the strategic agenda of the business unit taking a commercial approach to activities. 
  • Ensure deliverables are provided on-schedule and with appropriate accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure in progress management reviews are scheduled and tracked appropriately.
  • Measure, monitor, and report progress to Company’s leadership team.
  • Contribute to the growth and financial success of the Company through capture of new opportunities and expansion of existing programs.
  • Identify areas of potential growth in existing Company programs, and work through clients to seek additional business.
  • Regularly interact with outside customers, functional peer groups and senior management, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules etc., to gain cooperation of others.
  • Prepare moderately complex proposals, handle contract negotiations and administration of contracting activities and interact with customers in accordance with company’s policies and procedures, applicable laws, customers’ requirements, and sound business judgment.
  • Establish and maintain cost/schedule baselines, develops Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) and related dictionaries, perform Estimates at Completion (EACs), and possess a complete understanding of related financial policies.
  • Perform risk management, including the development of Risk Identification and Mitigation plans.
  • Prepare written and verbal reports to management regarding project status, cost and schedule variances.
  • Comprehend and communicate complex or technical information at a level to solicit or explain it. Able to communicate this information through written correspondence and reports.
  • Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Produce and action the Account Plan for allocated customers
    • Identifying strategies & targets for growth
    • Understand the past, present and future needs
    • Developing contact map & relationships
    • Identifying and neutralising all competitive threats
    • Monitor and communicate Customer Satisfaction levels
  • Develop & finalise long term supply agreement with customer and communicate key terms internally

Person Specification

Project Management skills.

  • Ability to delivering projects and programmes to time, cost and quality.
  • Ability to maximising customer potential to support greater throughput of revenue.
  • Be highly computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suites
  • Be confident with excellent  interpersonal/presentation skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation
  • Have a flexible approach and be able to work to a high level of accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in a customer facing, account/project management role preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • ideally from a defence / aerospace & security environment

 

Remuneration Package

Salary – up to £45k – negotiable depending on skills and experience.

The purpose of this role is to implement and develop the preventative maintenance regime, to provide first level of engineering expertise and maintain equipment capability for the discrete area.

Duties as a Electrical Engineering Inspector:

      Contribute to the Health and Safety plan by undertaking all necessary site audits and compliance activities as specified on same

Provide the first level of engineering expertise and maintain equipment capability for a discrete area

Continually update, monitor and refine the maintenance regime in the SAP system including the maintenance of details fit for purpose records and histories

Assist and carry out where appropriate the failure analyses and implement practical cost effective solutions

Actively participate in and implement solutions generated via problem solving activity with a wide range of other personnel as appropriate

Maintain an intimate knowledge of the plant condition and performance through details inspections, functional tests and daily interaction with operational Team Members

Coach others, including shift teams and contractor personnel, in order to instil high standards and develop engineering skills for overall business benefit.

Implement and develop the preventative maintenance regime for a discrete area of responsibility.

Continually update, monitor and refine the maintenance regime in SAP, including the maintenance of detailed "fit for purpose" records and histories.

Manage tasks within SAP for all work arising from inspections with appropriate priorities.

Assist with and carry out failure analysis, and implement practical cost effective failure reduction solutions.

Ensure that the appropriate level and quality of spares requirement is identified for area of responsibility, and arrangements are in place to satisfy operational demands.

Directly instruct contract labour and others as appropriate, and in so doing set the standard and direction for the work to be done.

Produce CAT1/PBS for contract labour working on site, including completion of appropriate risk assessments and identification of plant isolations.

To feed detail into the Engineering planning process and prepare for all maintenance stops, including the sourcing of labour, spares and materials.

About you:

      Must hold a recognized Engineering Qualification EG. HNC or Apprenticeship

Have experience and knowledge of the plant area and equipment for which they wish to be considered

Sound working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous and experience of operating safe systems of work

Good communication skills and able to liaise effectively with personnel at all levels

Flexible approach when working to enable the role to be executed effectively in line with plant shutdown periods and other events

Good decision making, leadership and problem solving skills

Self-motivated and able to demonstrate commitment to business aims and objectives

The Role

As a Project Engineer on site, you will be required to provide, maintain and develop engineering services for both capital and special revenue projects.   • Strong communication and report writing skills.

Please note, within this role, there may be travel involved. The travel is typically in the UK and Europe for factory acceptance tests and supplier visits and possibly 3 to 4 visits per year, ranging from 2 to 5 days. As a result, applicants must have a valid UK driver's license and passport.
