The Role

To provide the required technical support to the site to ensure maximum utilisation of plant, systems and machinery whilst maintaining the company standards of quality, productivity, environment and health & safety areas.

Duties

  • Maintain the engineering capability of the plant in line with the needs of the business.
  • To monitor and maintain the planned maintenance system.
  • To highlight to the appropriate personnel any potentially serious breakdown situations.
  • To ensure effective crew handovers.
  • To ensure effective communication with all relevant departments.
  • To ensure engineering compliance with Company, site and statutory health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to the upgrade, service and installation of all new and existing equipment.
  • To maintain an adequate supply of essential spares.
  •  To support the promotion and maintenance of the team working philosophy.
  • To assist with/arrange the maintenance of site services as appropriate.

  • Technical competency and knowledge

Participate in the design of contingency procedures for asset breakdowns and ensure that appropriate emergency preparedness procedures are in place.

Assist in the allocation and measurement of approved KPIs and to trend departmental performance.
