Reporting to Head of Supply Chain

Job Purpose:

As Senior Buyer / Lead Buyer / Strategic Buyer you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the suppliers including taking the lead on our sourcing strategy, supplier sourcing and onboarding, supplier performance and purchasing negotiations. You will have a strong focus on sourcing sustainability to effectively manage the portfolio risk and cost optimization and a lead role in the strategic design, implementation, and delivery of New Product Development.

Responsibilities

New Product Development

Work in partnership with the Product management and R&D teams to source new products through new and existing supply chains.

lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and supplier due diligence processes.

Procurement

Manage supplier performance ensuring that quality, cost, and delivery against KPIs.

Conduct market, supplier and financial evaluation of the supplier portfolio managing risk where required.

Lead on supplier negotiations optimizing cost through supplier reviews, product reviews and new strategic plans.

Creation and management of supplier contracts especially around aluminum purchase.

Generalist procurement activities for all site Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) requirements.

Procurement Improvements and Strategy

Develop and implement metrics to enable informed decision making across all procurement activities.

Develop, implement, and execute appropriate strategies and initiatives to enable business success. Maintenance of ERP system data; costs, lead times, supplier MOQ.

Represent the GB team at global procurement team meetings.

Competencies:

Demonstratable experience of end-to-end supplier management gained within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to evidence prior experience of leading New Product Development activities including strategic sourcing, supplier due diligence and onboarding.

Ability to build, maintain and influence collaborative and effective working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written with particular attention to detail.

A self?motivated proactive approach to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficient in the use of MRP/ERP business operating systems.  (Experience in use of Sage/SAP MRP/ERP operating system an advantage).

Computer literate with full competence across Microsoft applications including word, PowerPoint, Microsoft teams, SharePoint, and planer.

Intermediate Microsoft excel skills, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUM, ODBC.

Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritize a varied workload to meet deadlines.

Ability to analyse large data sets and draw conclusions that aid and enhance management decision making. 

This role requires national and international travel therefore a full UK driving license or ability to independently travel is essential.

General Duties

Nationals and international travel will be required - Quarterly with overnight stays. It is anticipated that this role will evolve as the business matures and develops, in which case the post holder is required to be flexible, adaptable, and receptive to changes to ensure the role reflects the requirements of the business.

As Maintenance Technician you'll enjoy being a critical part of the team and work flexibly across a variety of activities.

As Maintenance Technician you'll 'roll your sleeves up and get stuck in' wherever you're needed carrying out a variety of different tasks including routine / preventative maintenance/mechanical settings and fault diagnosis across all the facility and systems, some major items include:

  • Vertical powder paint line.
  • Semi - automated packing (tapping & spiral wrap) lines.
  • Paint line conveyor/track.

As a Maintenance Technician you'll be working with aluminum rolling machines (and there aren't many of those around) so we'll make sure you'll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a Maintenance technician is a bonus but, as a minimum we're looking for you to demonstrate that you have:

  • Proven experience of being a competent qualified electrical technician.

  • Proven experience of reading machine schematics.

Education / Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum of HND or preferably degree level in Electrical and / or Electronic Engineering. The candidate will have a strong electrical / controls / automation engineering background designing and developing complex machinery or systems; and be experienced in the full product life cycle from initial specification through development, build, test, deployment and support.

 

 

Job Specific Skills / Personal Qualities

New product introduction: design, build, commission and test.

Electrical Machine / Control Panel Design with reference to risk assessment and applicable safety standards like 12100, 60204 and 13849.

Electrical drawing package experience (preferably ePLAN).

Electrical Machine Design for build and procurement - parts list, wire schedules, cable schedules etc.

Strong verbal and precise written communications skills to engage with internal and external contacts, effectively gather information and express instructions clearly.

Salary: £22672 basic plus bonus. Combined OTE of up to £50k per annum

Commission Expectations - £1,000 – £2,500 per MONTH on top of Basic Salary. (may vary slightly per Location)

Job PurposeTo be responsible for issuing Parking Charge Notices to vehicles that do not comply with on-site parking regulations. The role will involve working outdoors across various car parks in your designated area. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a large amount of face-to-face interaction with members of the public.

To provide exceptional customer service to our clients and the users of their car parksTo consistently achieve against KPI’sTo work collaboratively with your team to ensure best practise is sharedTo efficiently plan routes with the use of navigation apps and knowledge of the regionTo patrol car parks in your designated areaTo issue Parking Charge Notices to offending vehicles as per site specificationsTo work with members of the public in a professional manner, even in confrontational situationsTo promptly report any health and safety issues that arise in line with company policyTo maintain an up to date knowledge of industry standards and display these through your work

Special Working ConditionsThe postholder will be required to travel extensively and in all weathers. On occasion, the postholder may be required to travel outside of their designated area to support the needs of the business.
