Location: Plymouth - Hybrid available
Hours of work: 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday, with one-hour lunch
Salary: Up tp £45k negotiable depending on skills and experience
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a Corporate Manager to join our clients' corporate team based at their Plymouth office. Reporting directly to our Corporate Partner, you will play a prominent and significant role in the corporate market including tenders and business development/networking . We're looking for someone who has some experience of audit work but is looking to broaden this to work with corporate clients below the audit threshold to offer a more advisory service. The successful candidate will take on an important and senior high-profile role within the office with responsibilities for business development and marketing - with a view to future progression for the right candidate.
Main Duties
The main duties (but not limited to) are the following: -
- Networking with the business communities (in particular legal and banking) in which our offices and clients are based
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Completion of Tenders
- Responsible for effective planning, delivery and overall management of audit engagements for a portfolio of the firm's clients under the direction of the Corporate Partner
- Monitoring performance of audit delivery against agreed KPIs and reporting on this, including the provision of potential solutions to issues
- Managing the preparation of financial statements
- Understanding technical matters and presenting them in a logical and practical way to both internal and external parties to the firm
- Managing and developing junior members of the team
- Carrying out technical research and providing advice for clients and for other members of the firm
- Work on clients across the region, as and when required
Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills, experience and qualifications.
- Outgoing, socially confident and emotionally controlled
- Resilient, able to multi-task and work independently
- Adaptable, organised and conscientious
- Evaluative, professional and team orientated in approach
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a good level of post qualification experience of working within an audit and assurance team
- Experience of leading, coaching and supervising junior members of staff
- Good level of knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards
- Able to develop and operate complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and be competent in Word and Outlook
- Experience of Caseware software would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of Sage Accounts software would be an advantage
Terms
- 36.25 hours / 5 days per week
