Working hours 4 on 4 off including weekends, nights and days 7am – 7pm – 7pm – 7am.

Hawk 4 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Engineering Shift Supervisor to work for a large manufacturing company based in Hull, Eat Riding

The Role

The Engineering Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of the engineering department.  They will report to the Engineering Manager and will act as a front line extension of the Engineering Managers authority.

Duties

• Responsible for ensuring that all engineers duties are carried out in a timely and  effective manner
• To provide support, direction and assistance to the engineers on all areas of their assigned duties.
• To provide supervision to all engineers. 
• Using the Pirana PPM system enable your team to carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs within the factory and the site in general.
• Enable the moving and re-installation of machinery.
• Manage and plan machine changeovers and set-ups.
• Ensure that all machinery is ready for use at the start of every shift
• Liaise with contractors ensuring all site and H&S rules are adhered to
• Ensure effective communication with production and all other departments.
• Training and mentoring of staff.
• Attend the allocated site meetings.
• Daily / weekly up keep of departmental spend

Technical competency and knowledge  

• Minimum of Level 3 qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline 
• Demonstrates an understanding for compliance, food safety, engineering sytems,quality policies and procedures
