As Maintenance Technician you'll enjoy being a critical part of the team and work flexibly across a variety of activities.

As Maintenance Technician you'll 'roll your sleeves up and get stuck in' wherever you're needed carrying out a variety of different tasks including routine / preventative maintenance/mechanical settings and fault diagnosis across all the facility and systems, some major items include:

  • Vertical powder paint line.
  • Semi - automated packing (tapping & spiral wrap) lines.
  • Paint line conveyor/track.
  • Spray guns reciprocator.
  • A range of liquid pumps, valves and heating elements in chemical treatment and wastewater treatment plant; and Polyamide rolling lines and packing machines.

 

As a Maintenance Technician you'll be working with aluminum rolling machines (and there aren't many of those around) so we'll make sure you'll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a Maintenance technician is a bonus but, as a minimum we're looking for you to demonstrate that you have:

  • Proven experience of being a competent qualified electrical technician.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • A self?motivated proactive approach to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience of reading machine schematics.
  • Ability to build, maintain effective working partnerships with colleagues - we're a team and better when we work together!
  • If you have any experience of machine setting that's a bonus!

 

This role does involves physical movement including lifting, bending, twisting and carrying with loads of up to 20kg as a core part of the role.

A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to undertake the design, development and testing of electrical control systems for our product range; involving the selection of appropriate control hardware based on the most cost-effective and scalable control platform.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Write control specifications for new products or modifications to existing products.

Design electrical circuits required for the development and production of laser wire processing machines and other new products using ePLAN electrical design software or similar.

Generate build documentation and parts lists to enable the purchasing department and production department to order parts and build products / machines.

Write commissioning procedures for machines to enable the efficient transfer of products to Production and Service.

Liaise with end users and other relevant contractors and sub-contractors to ensure correct design, test and installation of systems.

Participate in the investigation of system problems arising from testing, acceptance or operational use in the field.

Interface with electrical suppliers to ensure the most cost effective solutions are found.

Contribute to the evolving Design Standards for Electrical / Mechanical Drawings.

Keep up with the latest standards that are applicable to electrical control systems, namely EN60204, ISO 13849 and have knowledge of EN12100.

Understand the dynamic requirements of wire processing systems and design solutions to meet those requirements.

Carry out other tasks and projects within the competence of the job holder as requested by the Engineering Manager.

 

Education / Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum of HND or preferably degree level in Electrical and / or Electronic Engineering. The candidate will have a strong electrical / controls / automation engineering background designing and developing complex machinery or systems; and be experienced in the full product life cycle from initial specification through development, build, test, deployment and support.

 

 

Job Specific Skills / Personal Qualities

New product introduction: design, build, commission and test.

Electrical Machine / Control Panel Design with reference to risk assessment and applicable safety standards like 12100, 60204 and 13849.

Electrical drawing package experience (preferably ePLAN).

Electrical Machine Design for build and procurement - parts list, wire schedules, cable schedules etc.

Application of Servo Amplifier / Stepper Drive Systems and DC / AC Drive systems.

Specification of sensor types including proximity sensors, through beam etc.

Creation   of   Controls   Specifications -   Functional   Design   Specification / IO Specification.

Advantageous but not essential if have experience of robotics and vision systems, practical experience of electrical builds and use of diagnostic tools.

Ability to manage time and resources and prioritise tasks based on a dynamic project function with a willingness to travel and undertake customer visits if required.

Strong verbal and precise written communications skills to engage with internal and external contacts, effectively gather information and express instructions clearly.

 

Our normal hours of work are 37 per week: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 1.30pm.

Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience

We offer 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, free onsite parking, pension scheme (company 5%; employee 3%), life assurance scheme and a bonus scheme of up to 5% based on performance.

The Role

This is a new role to oversee the accounting for the group.

Ensuring accurate key financial information is provided to management for valuable insights in an effective and timely format. With a forward thinking, commercial and analytical approach to information, you will oversee the production of management accounts and associated KPI schedules and drive the mining, consolidation, interrogation, and presentation of key data streams across the group. Leading and motivating the accounting team, you will provide support to accounts preparation roles, reviewing, developing and applying lean accounting principles

Duties

Finalisation of monthly management accounts with supporting KPI data, including analysis and commentary, to facilitate informed decisions around efficiency, commercial strategy and growth

Interrogate all relevant operational data streams to produce insightful analytics

Finance projects including systems development, ad-hoc analysis, process improvements and capital appraisal

Financial planning and forecasting

Overall responsibility for the integrity of nominal ledgers and balance sheet accuracy of all group companies

Lead, manage, develop and motivate the accounting team

Prepare and deliver the relevant departmental management information relevant to operational accountability

Cash flow forecasting and cash management

Assist with year-end statutory audit, preparation of final year trial balance and statutory reporting and compliance around financial governance

Support the subsidiary Finance Directors to improve the internal financial control environment

Provide support for intercompany accounting, VAT submission and financial regulatory compliance where appropriate

Manage and maintain a robust group fixed asset register

The Person

Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with substantial post qualified experience (e.g. 3 years)

Proven management accounts experience, preferably gained in a production environment

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills in setting up automated and effective models

SAP Business One and/or Sage 50 Accounts experience preferred

Strong IT data skills and a willingness to develop IT systems

Good commercial acumen

Analytical, logical, practical, and compliant approach

Previous experience of line managing a small team

Ability to communicate with both financial and non-financial people at all business levels

Ability to work to deadlines

A self-starter with a strong desire for continuous improvement/dynamic accounting methods

The Role

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the Strategic management of current and future business material requirements.

The Procurement Manager oversees the company sourcing capabilities and manages the supply chain. The manager is responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts, controlling budgets and forecasts within the Purchasing Department.
