Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Salary: From £38,000k

Location: Gloucester                     

Type: Short term - Interim 6 months

Hours:  Monday- Friday ,Day shifts (up to 40h per week)

Our client based in Gloucester is looking for an exceptional Warehouse manager to join their team. The successful candidate will overlook all warehouse functions, including Goods In, Goods Out and stock control.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:

 Managing and coordinating the team to help successfully meet customer service level agreements in line with standard operative procedure and safe systems of work

Ensuring business required KPI's are achieved within set time frames and the shift staffing is always managed effectively around this by planning ahead

Being proactive and consistent with supporting your teams in their performance, welfare and conduct in line with company policies and procedures

Maintain an efficient Goods Inward and Outbound operations.

Setup warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilisation.

Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with the Company procedures and operations.

Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.

Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, and transportation.

Optimising and coordinating orders delivery.

Supervise, coach and train dispatch team.

Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timelines targets.

Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.

Materials management improvement (including obsolete and slow-moving products).

Goods inwards and goods out process improvement.

 

Skills and experience sought:

      Excellent communication skills

Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor /Manager

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Attention to detail

Computer skills in industry software and business information systems

Leadership skills and ability to manage staff

Strong decision making and problem solving skills

 

Benefits:

      25 holidays Jan-Dec

Pension - It is a NEST arrangement

 

Employee contribution is 5%

Employer contribution is 3%

Employees can make 'Additional Voluntary Contributions' (AVCs).
