The Role

  • Assist the Head of Human Resources, in the execution of their duties in support of the organisations vision to become more competitive
  • Understand and execute the departments vision of good business development to reduce costs and become more profitable
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process (preparing and evaluating job descriptions, posting vacancy ads, and managing the hiring process) using ATS platform
  • Sourcing applicants for multiple vacancies using various platforms
  • Pre-screen suitable candidates and coordinate interviews with Line Managers  
  • Put in place initiatives to reduce agency recruitment costs
  • Improve and increase direct hires   
  • Ensure all starter and leaver checklists are correctly completed
  • Ensure (and where necessary complete) all offer letters to new starters and prepare contracts of employment for new employees.  Ensure all references for new employees are requested / received
  • Ensure the requesting and maintaining all new IT accounts for new employees and ensuring old accounts are closed
  • Apply for and analyse criminal records checks (DBS) for new employee screening
  • Assist with general HR administration duties
  • Assist with special projects in HR
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for HR function
  • Update and maintainin job descriptions
  • Assisting & guiding managers with HR related matters, maintain employee relations
  • Preparing and amending HR documents where necessary, for e.g. recruitment guides

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as a HR Recruiter ( 4 years)
  • Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Select HR & Bamboo HR
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Personal resilience and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressure
  • Demonstrate customer care skills
  • Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Good team working skills
  • Confidentiality & discretion
  • Understanding of various HR software systems, like Select HR or any other platforms
  • Good understanding of employment law

Purpose of Role

Inventory control - Plan & purchase all materials for specified manufacturing and warehouse locations in order to meet production requirements and customer demand whilst optimising inventory levels. Carry out analysis & reporting related to inventory consumption & stock levels, to analyse result performance & provision of inventory forecasts to target & budget levels.

Key Result Areas & Responsibilities

- Responsible for the management and planning of inventory, covering more than 300 SKU's over two business units and product streams to achieving inventory targets and budgets.

- Organising, administrating and coordination of the placement of purchase orders for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging items.

- Ownership and management of the complete purchase process from decision making on order placement to order receipt for intercompany supply and external vendors

- Analyse inventory levels and demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimise inventory levels and costs.

- Actively provide input into the demand planning process to capture and react to regional activities, trends, and demand changes.

- Manage B2B purchasing and transactions with daily communication and actions, taking timely actions as necessary.

- Develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve current days of inventory and cash cycle.

- Drive, promote, and develop positive and constant communications with suppliers and key business partners both internally and externally to improve forecast accuracy.

- Coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to ensure material requirements both in-bound and out-bound are correctly reflected in material planning

- Partner with supply planner to ensure allocation and plans meet regional demand requirements, accounting for seasonality and product life cycle.

- Oversee and facilitate all inventory and purchase order transactions within the ERP system.

- Track and escalate inventory logistics as needed to ensure on time arrival.

- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure smooth processing and delivery of goods including customs agents for material imports.

- Monitor, maintain, and analyse current inventory Trends, Metrics and Goals.

- Manage and generate inventory adjustments and transfers in ERP and planning system.

- Update and adapt product forecasts and material consumption in conjunction with the sales team forecasts, in order to meet the demand profile whilst maintaining inventory targets.

- Monitor and drive action planning for slow moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory and instigate actions to minimise it.

- Monitor performance of the suppliers and raise complaints where required through the complaints database. Investigating and processing complaints and invoice queries.

- Advising the production planning and customer services team of any potential issues that may affect their orders and working to resolve these.

- Answering phone calls and reacting efficiently and professionally to queries.

- Maintaining high levels of service excellence whilst adhering to all Company procedures / rules and processes.

- Take responsibility for the control and co-ordination of all stock taking activities across several warehouses

Ideal Background - Education and Experience

- Experience with an ERP / planning system (ideally SAP).

- Degree in a numerate subject desired.

- Education to 'A' level standard or equivalent.

- 1-2 years relevant professional experience.

- Experience of working in a high pressure and target driven environment.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Experience in building strong working relationships both internally and externally.
