The Firm

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with a fantastic, Legal 500 recommended regional firm in Newbury, Berkshire to secure a Conveyancing Legal Assistant for their Residential Property department.

The firm itself has grown substantially over the last few years and now has over 170 Lawyers and Employees working within it’s ranks. Turning over £10M last year, now is an excellent time to join them. They focus on core areas of law such as Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Conveyancing, Inheritance Protection and Family Law.

Additionally, as part of a larger group which makes up 60 independent law firms. This allows them to draw expertise from many directions and allows the firm to continue proving excellent service.

The Role

This standout regional law firm are looking for a Conveyancing Assistant with experience of working in a Conveyancing department.

Duties of the role include.

  • Setting up files as instructed by Fee Earners
  • Diary Management and arranging meetings to maintain an up-to-date diary
  • Assistance with remortgages and transfers of equity under the supervision of a Fee Earner
  • To undertake any specific training or refresher courses when required by the Firm.
  • Mortgage deeds and Land Registry searches
  • Preparation of financial statements prior to completions

You may be asked to perform other duties reasonably requested by the Fee Earner.

What you will need

The ideal candidate will be someone who has completed their LPC or Law Degree and has around 3-6 Months experience in a similar environment. Candidates without direct experience will need to demonstrate a basic understanding of the Conveyancing process.

This Legal500 recommended law firm is now looking for a Family Legal Assistant with 3-6 months experience or more to assist a busy department.

This role has come about due to significant growth across the firm and they focus on all aspects of private family law such as.

  • Divorce and Separation
  • Family Mediation
  • Children
  • Financial Arrangements
  • Pre-Nuptial Agreements

They also can focus on Civil Partnerships, Domestic Violence & Cohabitation.

Responsibilities of the role will be varied and exciting. As well as the administrative duties such as word processing and inputting of documents and accurate recording. The selected Family Legal Assistant will draft documents to the best of their ability and set up new files on instructions from Lawyers.
